Happy Sunday!

I figured I'm up because I can't sleep so I'd start the thread. Sorry we had to leave so quickly earlier we forgot that we had to stop in Edinburgh at a benefit for one of Richard's coworkers at the radio station who was recently diagnosed with throat cancer. Also my pouch started giving me fits and stuff. Not much happening today. Headed to church and laundry mat. Gonna do some housework and take it easy after that. Rich will probally watch NASCAR and hang out. Jodi - I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to you! It was awesome chatting with you about the WHOLE chicken sandwich and stuff. Mr. Q was such a cutie. LOL Rich tries to act big and bad but he had a case of the "want a baby" tonight after seeing how happy Q is. LOL We're praying for you! Keep your chin up girl. Things will be okay. Sherri - Praying for you too! Things are going to be fine on Monday. Everyone else - Again it was really awesome spending time with my OH family. You guys ROCK.

Good morning everyone! I'm looking forward to today! Brenda & I are gonna go shopping!!! What is NOT to love about that??? LOL! Since September, I have no been able to shop (except at Cindy's Pampered Chef party) without Bill with me. When I'm shopping, he never says anything about how much $ I spend (we have separate finances so it is mine to spend..or mine to charge & mine to pay in the future) but I always feel like he's watching..know what I mean? I just wish my tummy was flat so I could think about jeans! LOL! I'm gonna have to do a whole shopping thing with Miss Visa and no Mr. Bill in about 4-6 weeks! LOL! I'm going to have a real treat looking at other stuff today though...and knowing me, I will find something I just HAVE to have! LOL! It's going to be great though to not be sitting here thinking about tomorrow! While Brenda & I are off haing fun, Floyd is going to be updating the Hoosier Directory. Prayer Request (in addition to those having surgery)

 

Ellen’s twin grandbabies..the boy is getting over RSV & still very weak. The girl is now battling RSV.

 

Jodi…Jodi starts the Chemo therapy tomorrow. Between it & the radiation treatments, it is going to be a very rough next few months.

 

Peter….Hope’s hubby was able to come home for a few days after going through chemo. He has his next bone marrow biopsy on March 10^th. Please pray that those results come back good so that they can get the bone marrow transplant scheduled, done, and Peter& Hope can start planning the rest of their lives with leukemia being a looming threat. Linda’s Mikey continues to be a very big concern for Linda.

This will be the 3^rd annual party. This takes place at mine & Bill’s on the east side of Indy. The date hasn’t been set yet (awaiting for my surgery to be over!!). We are planning on it to be the end of March…so keep looking for more info!

 

Summer Fun!

In addition to Holiday World, we are hoping to get a group of folks to also go to Indiana Beach this summer. Bill & I went last year and it was fantastic..and would be fantastic for pre-ops as well since it is very easy to get around it and there is something there for everyone. Anyone can take a ride on the Shaffer Queen!

 

Summer Camp-Out

Last year, we had our first camp-out up in Middlebury, Indiana . The KOA there is owned & operated by our own Hope & Peter. We aren’t positive on the date yet….probably sometime between the end of July & the middle of August. We’re waiting to find out for sure when a few things are happening so that we can avoid getting double-booked.

 

 

Hi all, how are you all doing? I'm doing okay. I was in Hammond, at my parents' home this weekend. It was nice to get away. I just wanted to say hi, though and let you all know I was still reading! Thanks for remembering us, Sherri!

Morning all.  very tired today, thanks to working overtime again last night. And, of course, today I have to work my day off.  It is going to be the normal thing for us to work 8-12 hours a day for most likely 5 days a week right now, since we have gotten so busy lately.  This is great for the company, and for uncle sam, and for all the bill collectors, but not necessarily for the body.  I will survive tho!   Hope everyone had a great time last night. I really wish I could have gone as well, but with work, I never have the chance to do anything fun.  If I do, something always comes up to where it throws a monkeywrench into the mix and screws everything up.......grr! Sherri, take care tomorrow.  Make sure someone is able to keep us updated on how you are doing.   Jodi,  God's hands are on you as you start your treatment tomorrow.  I know you are really dreading this, but you will make it thru with flying colors.  You are strong, and have overcome so many obstacles already, so this one is just one more that you will jump over by leaps and bounds! One of them will post the info after they hear from Tiff (and yes, it's ok to give out my room # here on the board).  Calling people gives Tiff something to do to calm her nerves while they are waiting for me to get to my room. Morning Everyone, WHAT A GREAT TIME LAST NIGHT!!!! The food was great and I do believe because of portion sizes most of us walked out of there with enough left overs for half the upcoming week, hahahaha! I haven't seen that kind of turn out for a dinner since the winter of 78'. Good thing we had bike shoes! Like Sherri, I'm doing some retail therapy to keep my nerves and mind calm about tomorrow. SO my sister and I are heading to Indy to Hobby Lobby and Debs for wedding stuff. Of course we won't just stay to just those stores, hahahah! But it will be nice to get out and keep my mind occupied, especially keeping it occupied on wedding stuff. I want to take a few minutes and thank everyone that has been sending me e-cards and snail mail cards to the house. Everyday I got one this past week was a day I so surely needed to be reminded to be ever thankful for my friends. They are all spread around the house so that I'm constantly reminded with a smile on my face for everyone's effort to let me know that I was thought of. Thank You All So Much!!!!!!! I love hobby lobby. When we were getting ready for our wedding I managed to get everything for our favors (except the mints got them at sams)  and centerpieces and bouquets for like 70.00. It was sweet.

Good Morning All, Today I don't I will do much of anything, I feel a little sick. I had a great time last night, I got to meet some OH family that I have chated with. Good Morning everone, I am so sorry I missed last night. It looks like ya'll had a great time. I work 6 days a week so I have a hard time getting to get to go to activities. I have been recently working around all my Doc appts. which lead me no time for anything else and also Ty's activities. Yesterday he had a weight lifting competition at Ben Davis. SO I was in the Area and went past Bridgeport road but It was on my way to Work :( I feel like I am losing touch with my OH family. I miss everyone sooo much and I am getting so close to my approval(insert crossed fingers here) Wishing Good luck and quick healing to Both SHerri and Jodi. I will def. praying for both of you and waiting for updates!!! It's beautiful outside todaY. iT'S MY FIRST DAY OFF IN 2.5 WEEKS. I am cleaning my house. I am getting spring fever, thats for sure. We have been spending the last week or so checking out dogs. We are wanting to get a puppy. We had to get rid of our 2 dogs when Bella started crawling because they didn't like her. TOO territorial. We miss the cutiepie-ness. We are wanting a smaller dog no bigger than 15 pounds. We found a pug-puggle the other day. $450.00 omg!!! So I will be looking in shelters!  I need to get lunch/dinner started...Taco salads...yum Lots of protein minus the tortilla for me. lots of lettuce/cilantro/corn salsa/taco seasoning.YUMMY Goodness..Have a great week.  Skinny Thoughts, SHanna
