Scary Moment
Last night I was doing cardio exercise, I haven't been doing them but wanted to start. I was good for a while but obviously with being out of shape I started breathing heavily. All of a sudden I got this tingling, numbing sensation down the inside of both my arms into my fingers and down my legs. Then the middle of my thumb bent in towards my palm and the top part of my finger was sticking almost straight out and my fingers bent slightly. I could not move my thumb out or bend my fingers. Also, it was tingling around my lips and they were quivering a little. I was sacred to DEATH. I have NEVER had this happen before. I have had issues the last few months with panic attacks but this has never happened. My Mom said she thought it was a panic attack and I hyperventilated. I looked on line, after I calmed down, hyperventilation and that was not a symptom. I thought of going to the ER but after about 15 min I could work my fingers, although they were stiff. They finally loosened up but the tingling was still there and didn't go away for like almost 2 hrs. I called and left a voice mail this morning for the surgeon's nurse to talk to them about it but wanted to see if anyone here has ever experienced this before. I feel ok today, but it still really worries me. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Have you heard anything back yet from the dr? I would almost say to use the emergency line of the phone..you know when they say if this is a urgent medical emergency press this #. What if that is a symptom of something serious and time is ticking away?? Like a stroke..I am sorry if I've scared you but I can certainly understand you being afraid when this was happening..maybe it was a pinched nerve or something?
You might even call your regular dr's office and ask to speak to their nurse. Explain what happened and see what they say..it's hard waiting for a call back..but wait you must.. Good luck..I've said a prayer for you in the meantime..

Well..again good luck! I hope you get some type of action soon on this and I hope it doesn't happen again..but if it does..hopefully you'll be in the Dr's office when it does..or here's a weird idea..if it does happen ..like the finger part..have someone take a picture? I know..weird..but a picture is worth a thousand words..good luck!
