Hugs to you Sherri! And don't let anyone else tell you about what you are feeling. i was in alot of pain after my PS and I am not ashamed to say I took my drugs regularly and was sad to see them run out! :o) When you have intensive plastic surgery with layers of stitches you will hurt alot and for a long time. I still have areas that are lind of sore to press on but not in a bad way. They say it takes a good year for healing so just take care of yourself and be as painfree as you can be. I was totally in bed for the first 5~7 days and lived on my loratab to knock me out and I just layed there and rested and focused on 6 months from then to get thru it.  Trust me honey, one day probably soon Bill will have something hurting him and you will just get to look at him and sweetly smile and say Gee Honey, just buck up and bear  the pain we wouldn't want you getting hooked on any medications would we! :o)  i am just so glad you are doing good and made it thru so well. Hang in there and I promise it does get better and you will be loving the new Tummy real soon!  Take care and keep up the good meds as long as you need them. As much as you have been thru pain is the last thing you should be feeling right now! ((( Gentle HUGS)))) Marianne

Sherri, welcome home!! Sorry you aren't getting a lot of empathy from Bill and his mom about your pain meds...you know what is best for your healing self, and tell them to stick it! heehee Shanna, my pre op testing is next Wednesday the 12, surgery is the 2nd of April.  When Dr Evanson's nurse called to give me my surgery date, she said that he requires the pre op testing to be done within 30 days prior to surgery, and I think my dad's surgeon said the same thing.  He had Dr Kadarabek. Greetings everyone else..LaShell you look awesome! Stay safe all you in southern Indiana...you're due to get a ton more snow than we are up here.   Tonight I am driving down to Carmel with some of my girlfriends from church...we've been talking about going to Carrabba's for our supper club since December.  Two weeks ago I said "Y'all, if we don't go NOW, I can't after March 31!".  Nothing like a deadline to get people to schedule something.   Dr's office called me today to preregister for my pre op testing! I am getting so excited, but so damn nervous at the same time.  Is this the 'second thoughts' stage I've heard about? I know I need this, I know I'll do it, it's just sinking in a bit.  off to vacuum all the kid crud out of my minivan since I volunteered to drive tonight.  Stay safe!
