Feeling low

I got started thinking, and feel like everything that's happened to us lately is my fault. The bankruptcy, the difficulties at work I'm having, the problems for Mikey. Maybe it's because I've lost so much weight, and have been thinking of myself too much. I don't know. I am wearing this shirt today with this smiling turtle that says, "It's all about me. Deal with it." I thought it was so cute when I got it. Because I was finally thinking about me. Getting pretty clothes, lasik, doing some things for me, like the personal training and horse back riding lessons. Today I looked at it, the shirt, though, and thought, this is all my fault. Maybe if I was still 296 pounds, and not paying any attention to myself, but devoting everything to the family instead, we wouldn't have these problems. Especially Mikey, and having to go to the hospital. I am feeling low, and feeling like emotional eating. Like I should just pig out. Bleep it all. I need some support today.

Oh Linda, I don't for one second believe that your weight loss is the reason for everything happening in your life. You love Mikey and realize that he's not doing well and thats why your seeking some more aggressive help for him. (( HUGS )) for you.

Linda, I'ts not uncommon when facing difficulties to try and find a place to pin the 'blame' on. You lost all your weight so you could always be there for Mikey, getting healthy in the process. It's not your fault these things are going on now, and your there for Mikey in more ways then one now. Just knkow we're here for you to vent and give encouragement when ever you need it! God bless! Hope

Yeah.. I can understand WHY you would feel that way but in reality you know it's not the truth so don't try to place blame where it is unwarranted. These "things" of which honestly I have no knowledge of except that they are in your life are events that have happened in your family..they more than likely would have happened if you weighed 290, 1000 or 125 lbs..they happened and you're getting through it as a family as you are meant to..I not knowing your situation fully or your husband obviously, would certainly think that your husband is not agreeing with you on this?? I've been where you're at..thinking if I hadn't been so selfish (which you aren't!) we wouldn't be in this mess etc.. so trust me..you will get through all this ...one knot at a time..I think you're looking at it all too closely...and it is overwhelming you. Try doing something for yourself..something small like take a 20 minute walk very briskly..it'll do you a world of good..really it will! You return from your walk feeling more in control of yourself and life in general. Good luck!

Linda,  I hope things start getting better for you soon.  I know things wont happen over night...things take time to work themselves out.  I dont have the same problems as you but I can so understand how low you can feel.  Ive been feeling that way for a couple of months now.  Im just hoping that spring will at least lift my mood...but seems the closer it gets the worse its getting around here.  I too have been eating and falling back into old habits.  Its only been by the grace of God I havent gained a pound but if everyone keeps giving me Girl Scout cookies....I wont keep this wt off much longer. Im very scared.  Seems Ive lost all my strenght and support.

I'll keep u in my prayers.  I hope things go smoothly Tuesday.

Sweetheart,  the Bible says to love your neighbor (family, too) as yourself.  You cannot love and care for others if you don't love and care for yourself.  Don't feel guilty about caring for your needs.  If your needs are not met, you cannot meet the needs of others. Take care of yourself so you will have the energy to care for others.

I can eat as much as I want...I just don't want much.
I'm ashamed of what I did for a Klondike bar...
