my liver biopsey results are back

My liver biopsey showed I have biliary cirrhosis.of the liver. the liver docs nurse called yesterday and said to go to clarien west and get more blood drawn ..she said then they will know how to treat when that comes back.but that I may have to end up getting on a liver transplant list......please please PRAY FOR ME ...i KNEW I HAD A FATTY LIVER BEFORE THIS SURGERY BUT HAD THIS SURGERY TO GET BETTER .NOW IT MAY BE TOO LATE...I DIDNT KNOW MY LIVER HAD GOTTON THAT BAD.DUE TO OVERWIEGHT AND DIBETIES.....I NEVER DRANK .........JUST KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS......THANKS

Sandra, I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this. Only God knows his reasons why. I know I'm one to try to find out 'why' too. I've come to accept that it may just be so that others know that 'this' is possible..whatever 'this' may be. We always hope that weight loss surgery can 'fix' whatever damage our excess weight caused. Many times it can. Sometimes however, it's beyond that to where we just have to be thankful that the weight is gone or going so that the next phase will be easier to go through. Just think how hard a liver transplant would have been pre-WLS. Liver specialists may not have even approved you for a transplant until you had lost ## pounds. I know that was the case with our Mary a little over a year ago. She needed a heart transplant but had to lose major pounds before the surgeons would even consider putting her on the list. If you do have to have a transplant, I pray that they are able to find a match quickly. I will also say a prayer of thanks that you are healthier now than you were pre-WLS and so better able to kick this in the butt. Many prayers... Sherri
