bellas mom---fATTY LIVER...

HI ,My gasterogist  Dr.miehiemer at methosdist..told me I had a fatty liver around five years ago..i WAS HAVING STOMACH PAIN AND DIRREARA..THEY DID BLOOD WORK AND CAT SCANS ,STOOL TESTS ,BARMIA EMAMA, COLONASTY TEST..CANT SPELL.YOU NAME IT THEY DID IT..FOUND I HAD FATTY LIVER AND DIVERTICOLITIS....GERD....HE SAID WITH MY DIBETIES AND OVER WIEGHT COULD TURN TO===NON ALCOHOCIAL CERRHOSIS OF THE LIVER...HE SAID TO LOSE WIEGHT IT WOULD HELP WITH THE LIVER.....I WAS 262LBS THEN  I THEN WENT TO 207  BUT LAST YEAR WIEGHT WENT BACK UP TO 239LBS   LAST YEAR HE CHECKED STILL HAD FATTY LIVER...I TOLD HIM I WAS CHECKING INTO WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY  HE SAID THAT WOULD BE GREAT...STILL WAS HAVING STOMACH TROULBE...NOW AFTER ALL  MY WLS   THEY SEE THIS LIVER CRAP....TELL YOUR  HUSBAND TO DEMAND TO HAVE A LIVER BIOPSEY ...MY LIVER SPEC .SAID WHY DIDNT THEY DO A LIVER BIOPSEY IN THE HOSP IN JAN ...HECK IF I DONT KNOW...IF THEY WOULD HAVE DONE ALL THIS YEARS AGO I MAY BE WOULD BE BETTER...I ALWAYS HAD BLOOD WORK BUT I DONT KNOW IF THEY WAS CHECKING MY LIVER.....HOPE HE DOES BETTER THEN ME...I SHOULD FIND OUT THIS WEEK HOW MUCH DAMAGE EXACTLY AND HOW WE WILL TREAT AND IF A LIVER TRANSPLANT WILL BE NOW OR LATER..MY LIVER SPEC IS DR VANDEYEC UP BY CLARIEN NORTH...  IM SO STRESSED ABOULT EVERY THING BUT GOD WILL GET ME THUR...IM THE ONLY PROVIDER FOR  MY FAMILY FOR MY HUSBAND IS DIABLED .SO IM LIKE I NEED TO WORK TO HAVE THE INSURANCE AND LIFE INSURANCE..BUT i WORK LATE NIGHTS AND IT IS CRAPPY....WELL TAKE CARE AND THANKS FOR LISTENING...SANDY

Shanna I have been diagnosed with fatty liver one time they check and it is fine the next. However over the past few years I've had elevated liver enzymes. The past few months they have been EXTREMELY HIGH enzymes and so I'm seeing Dr. Lacerda at SpringMill on April 4 a liver specialist. My PCP did a hepatitis panel and I didn't see all the levels but I know that the 2 things from the panel said normal and soo I'm assuming that isn't the issue. I'm guessing I'll be having a liver biopsy (thats what my PCP said will probally happen) in the near future as well. I haven't really shown any symptoms other than pain once in a while but I don't know that it has anything to do with that. Liver disease runs in my family though and my dad had non alcoholic cirrohsis. Sandy - Keep your head up hon. I just wanted to tell you my dad had Cirrohsis and he lived a pretty normal life and never needed a transplant! I have faith things will be okay. (( HUGS ))
