Hi all,.. it's about 3am on Wednesday morning, and I can't sleep. Wah! I did sleep for a while, but woke up about 2:30, and now I'm wide awake. I got some good news yesterday. For those who don't know it, since June 2006, I've been working on a second master's degree in rehabilitation counseling for my job. I am just financially and mentally worn out of school. I don't want to finish, as I am only 1/2 way through, since I only go part-time. I did find out though that they have a post-graduate certificate. I have earned enough credits at the end of this semester for the certificate. I can get that. I'm pleased to hear that. Atleast I can stop and having something to show for the work I've done there. I also found out, I am eligible to sit for the CRC (certified rehabilitation counselor) exam this fall with my credits and work experience. I will have to collect gobs of documentation to send in with my application, such as transcripts, syllabi from graduate classes, documentation of work experience, etc.,... So I'm excited about that.  Talked to Mikey last night at the hospital. He seems to be doing alright. I am kind of bothered by my sister right now. She wanted me to give the hospital the okay for her to have permission to talk with the doctors and therapists about his treatment. I told her we weren't going to do that, because I felt like that information should go through Mike and I. She didn't like that, but I felt like she wasn't respecting my boundaries. Sisters, right? Sometimes they make ya happy and sometimes not. Tonight I work yet again at Sears, but then tomorrow (Thursday) I am off all day. Mike and I will be going to Jeffersonville for a family session with Mikey. i can't wait to see him. I wonder what the family session will be like? I don't know what to expect. In the acute setting, they were pretty informal, but not that helpful. I hope they are more in depth actually here, but not scary! Friday I do get off during the day for Good Friday. WOoHOo! I have to go to Indy that day for a lasik recheck on my eyes. I wonder if anyone would like to meet for lunch. I might post about that and check. Well,.. have a good day all my hoosier loser buddies!

Someone throw me a life jacket or a boat, please!!!! We are now under a state of emergency this morning due to the flooding!  The entire town is pretty much flooded.  I am lucky to live on the highest peak on Southern Indiana, but it doesn't help with those that live in the low lying areas.  Our school is under water, so they are out of school at least for today, and possibly tomorrow as well.  I hope to be able to get out of here at least some way possible, but of course I don't know all the ways around the area still....I guess I will learn pretty fast, now won't I! Hope everyone has a great day.  I just got off the phone with the casino, and they are flooded out as well, so I guess that means no work for me today! Oh well, I am not going to be too upset, since I only had one day off!  I guess that means I can crawl back into bed.  I will.....have a dry time! LOL

Good morning all! I had to get the row boat out this morning to get to work.  I got an alert on my cell that my county is under a flood warning.   Nothing much going on with me today, just working. **Linda I dont blame you for not giving the doctors permission to talk to your sister about Mikey's treatment.  That is your business, not anyone else's unless you want it to be.   **Lachelle I hope you are high enough you dont get any of tha****er.  We do have some areas around my area that they usually have to block off the road.  I bet the kiddos are happy about no school. My kids are off on Spring Break starting this Friday.  We usually try to go somewhere, but we are not this year.   Hope everyone stays dry and have a great day!

Yes, I do. I work on the 4th floor, directly below you, LOL, in Vocational Rehabilitation. What a small world. Call me up sometime, and we'll get together. Or just walk on down and see if I'm free.

Thank you Jess! I am really excited about it. I just felt like I worked so hard for 6 semesters, and that it would have been a shame to have to just walk away without any paper to show it. How are your classes going? I remember you're studying business, right? What school?

Kelley School of Business with IU I'm getting my MBA and MS in Finance... I'm taking Quantitative analysis and Econ for Managers right now. They're going great both deal with making managerial decisions based on mathematical data which is my forte! only thing is that we're using Calculus equations and I don't have my TI86 or TI89 anymore... So if anyone out there has one that I can either borrow or buy please let me know. It has to be able to do integration and differentiate equations.

But school is going great. I'm a big nerd and I thrive on learning new things... I love the set up all my classes are online... We have the same professors as the students that live on campus and it's the exact same class so it's no****ered down. It's good though... keeps me occupied...

I might be able to do lunch on friday we'll have to see how money is I work up there near Keystone.. I work near 86th street and I465 but I will have ot get back to you

I did have to go out and take some pictures, until I got my car blocked in at the West Baden Dome Hotel.  They have closed down, and my car is now parked at the top of the parking lot......they are going to be closed for at least 2 days, due to the flooding.  Mariah and I had to have a truck bring us home, because in the short amount of time that we were there taking pictures, the water came up almost an inch!  Talk about frustrating! Oh well, I did get a few pictures, and I have to send them in. I will post them as soon as I get a chance!
