21 HOUR COUNTDOWN !!!!!
Well, It's finally becoming a reality. My surgery is a 8:00 @ St. Vincents with Dr. Huse tomorrow (Thurs). I'm going to start getting my suitcase packed and go thru my checklist. I have a two hour drive to hospital in the morning and need to be there @ 6:00 AM. I'm so excited, contemplating my new journey in weightloss. I would Covet your Prayers, that, 1). the surgery will go well. 2). I can make the necessary lifestyle changes to be successful. 3). the Lord will give my wife a comforting hand during the surgery. Thanks so much for all your support. I will keep you updated, and look forward to posting with all of you as we journey together. God bless you all.
Dave
P.S. I'm planning after surgery to get my profile page and info started. I have pics in computer, but my grandson stuck my camera cable in the outlet the other day and blew the end connector up. thankfully he was not hurt. he was only 2' away when he did this. Got a new cable ordered. Grandpa still is learning, you can't take your eyes off them 2 year olds for one second
Prayer will be pffered up. If at St. V's the chaplin will pray you in also if you ask.
Your support person needs to feel the prayer chain also. They are very important to this process. Keep them elevated daily and included in your prayer on how to manage the process.
E
2 Chronicles 16:9
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou has done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Congrats on the surgery date tomorrow and you will LOVE Doc Huse! He did my surgery and he was awesome! I loved how the chaplain prayed....he prayed for a wonderful journey and not the "God your will be done" thing. It really helped hearing THAT instead of take her if you must....
I will keep your wife in my prayers that she will understand the need and the struggles you will go through having this surgery...the struggles to keep on track...and the lifestyle changes you will go through and also comfort her while you are in surgery.
Where in Indiana do you live? I am 2 hours from Indy also...but I live up around Ft. Wayne.
May you have a wonderful Road Trip with no speed bumps or detours!

Lord, keep me in your will so I won't be in your way.

No I don't attend any support groups....They are trying to get one started here in Wabash at the hospital...I have met a couple of gals here in Wabash who have had the surgery and its exciting to know that maybe we can all get together in our homes or restaurants even if the hospital does nothing.
Be sure to get your name and info on the Indiana Directory....give info to Floyd...look for his hoosier loser post from yesterday., That way we can keep in touch!
What is your wife's name...my hubby is Mark and we do enjoy meeting up with folks for coffee and fellowship.
