Friday morning...

Good morning everyone! I have been up WAY too early today! I woke up at 4:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. I figured 'what the heck, nothing going on today anyway'. So....I'm gonna go try to get some more Zzzz's soon. I'm just waiting until pain med time again (pain level wise, time was up about 15 minutes ago but i'm trying to hold off until 7:30).  I had my dentist appointment yesterday. The tooth that has been hurting wasn't the one they were going to work on! So they x-rayed the one that has been hurting & told me that it was a good thing I had been on anti-biotic & pain meds for the surgery or I'd really had been hurting! Since they didn't alot the time yesterday for THAT tooth, they did partially drill it out and put in a temp filling. I go in next Tuesday to start the root canal/crown process. We didn't even discuss a date for them to do the one they were suppose to do! LOL! Has anyone else noticed how much their chairs can hurt our bony butts after we lose weight???? I'm going to have to follow-up with some more benadryl today I think. They use the strain I'm ok with to numb the root/tooth (the injectible one) but the jell that numbs the gum still gives me some problems. I think a few more doses of the benadryl though should take care of the rest of the hivey-type reaction. Most of it is gone already. Tiffany took me to get the rest of the Easter stuff for the kids baskets after the dentist yesterday. When we got home, they piled all the stuff on the counter & stove (it's an electric glass top). Somehow the stove got knocked on! We started smelling 'something'. I reached under a basket to see if it was warm....shoot yeah! It burned the tar out of 3 fingers!!! I'm keeping neosporin & bandaides on them. I told Bill that I have no idea how crooks could stand to burn off their fingerprints! That hurt like heck and that was with me being on pain meds! I think it took me about 4-5 HOURS before the burning finally settled down (first soak in bowl of mayo that hubby swears works...it didn't...so then ice water..which, did do a little bit better but of course, that could have just been because of more time had passed by then, then finally, I put 'pain-relieving Neosporin' on it..took awhile but it seems to have done the trick..pain wise anyway). I will be utterly shocked if they don't blister up. At least it didn't ruin the basket! So..sometimes today, I do want to get them all ready to go for the Easter Bunny. We don't go with the mess of dying eggs. I have ~60 plastic ones and I fill them up with candy for the egg hunt...so I have them to fill today too. That isn't to say I don't boil any eggs..I just do them up for deviled eggs! LOL! Well..I do hope you all have a good day. Don't get too cold...or too wet! Huggs! Sherri

Glad to hear you are up and about...sorry to hear about the burn though! I got boiling water splashed up on me a few months back and they gave this stuff called BurnJel. I bought more at CVS and it works great! I had no blisters or scarring! Try it! It is great just to have in the house for those nasty oven or cooking burns too! It is a bit high priced..but goes a long way! Hope today is better for you!

Can you tell I'm pumped for the game tonight! My stomach finally is starting to feel better I went to walgreens yesterday and got chewable pepcid AC i've taking them about 15 minutes before I eat and i've been able to eat and as the day progressed with less pain so I'm sure that it's my pouchy poo that's irritated... Too much coffee, spicey stuff, and cigs... That'll do it.. So I'm going to cut back on that.. go back to bland white blobs for a while and see if I can't get it calmed down. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE DR K!!! I've only been to see him 3 times since surgery...

I hope everyone has a great friday it's supposed to be beautiful and they enjoy their easter weekend. I'm going ot spend mine catching up on quantitative analysis homework. Takes forever when you don't have a calculator that integrates... Good ol paper and brain power... LOL

Good morning, Sherri and all. Just think, here it is in the morning and I am posting. That is a new one. It seems since I have been working at the church office I just get up and get ready, take my meds, get my water and protein bar and out the door I go. It is nice to sit here and take a nice look at my favorite web site and read my mail and stuff like that.     I am sitting here with the Today show on and looking outside. It looks cold out. There is no sun shining and it has been snowing. They were saying that we could get several inches but it seems like a strange snow this morning. It looks like a wet one and also like a snow that isn't really going to ammount to much. There is very little on the ground, just a bit in spots. I hope that things stay the way they are going now and let Chicago get the most of it. I am so tired of them complaining that they got snow and here we are with a gazillion feet of it.    I have some places to go today. I want to go to K Mart since they have underwear on sale and that is something that I desperately need. I have to go get some groceries and then I think I am done. I hate shopping but these are things that I need to get and so what choice do I have? I really don't want to go out since I am so cold but alas the stores won't come to me.     Bill and I are just going out for Easter dinner since I guess it is just going to be the 2 of us this year. I talked to my sister about if we were getting together and she just kind of didn't want to talk about it so I thought alright my little family and I will go out together. It is going to be nice just being the 2 of us this year. It is going to be quiet and we can just vegetate doing what we want to do.     I am going to cook up some eggs for chicken salad and egg salad. I have been wanting both and so this is the perfect time to do. I just can't beleive the price of eggs. I am getting them on sale here 2 for $3. It is a shame that some people can't afford for their kids to color Easter eggs this year because of the price.    I better get going. I am going to sit here for a bit and then start to get ready to do my stuff for the day. I am hoping that everyone has a wonderful and safe day and stays warm. I will check in later on so I can stay in the loop and know what is going on here. Gotta stay current!    

Hi Everyone,  Well, it looks like it will just be Dana & I Sunday  - the kids/grandkids are going to the "inlaws' for there Easter. I use to do 25 eggs filled apeice, plus baskets, goodies, etc. x 8kids! Now thats alot of temptation- I ate more than I filled most times!     My RUNY has changed that,thankfully!!! I tihnk Dana & I may just go out to eat- or I'll fix something here. I just hope the weather will be good so everyone has a great day. We are going to hold our Easter Service in the High School auditorium - we have such a large attendance that even with 3 services there isn't enough room- PTL!!!I just love Easter morning worship- it is such a joy to know that my sins are forgiven. The older I become the more aware I am of how each day is precious, and not to expect I will have a lifetime to make wrongs right or tell others I love & forgive them. I took a long walk outdoors yesturday while the sun was shining-   it felt wonderful! Gosh, I sure hope more warm days are ahead for us. Personally, my fibromyalga has really reared its ugly head this winter, and I haven't been able to get out and walk as much as I like to. I can tell my muscles are weaker cause certian areas ache today more than usual. Sherri- Hon,  that had to HURT! Isn't is crazy how something can happen so quickly, and you don't even notice till its almost too late!GLAD YOU DIDN'T HAVE A FIRE~!!!! I hope to call you soon. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
