Does anyone take the 5000mcg capsules of Biotin at CVS?  Or should I just take the 1000mcg?  I have been taking the 1000mcg, but thought maybe the 5000mcg would be better.  I haven't had surgery yet, so I wasn't sure if there was a restriction on capsules. Thanks Kim

I take 1000... my nails grow so fast I have to get filled weekly..My hair is thinning but I think that is genitic instead of because of the surgery..I am going to Roberts Day spa today and getting layers, hopefully that will make it look fuller Every new pill/capsule I take I put it in 1 oz of water and see if it will disolve within 5 minutes..Thats how I test them before taking them.. Kim, I take two of the 5,000 mcg capsules from CVS.  I began by using Biotin from the local health food store and they looked up the dosage for me on their computer site they use regarding vitamins.  The site recommended 10,.000 mcg daily for hair growth.  So I take one morning and one at night. Last month I happened to be in CVS and they had Biotin as a "buy one get one free" special so I purchased a couple of bottles.  I am hoping the quality is as good as the health food store brand.  CVS was half the price.  Peg
