Hello all,.. have a happy Monday today. It was snowing here in Terre Haute yesterday. Here's to hoping for better weather today! I hope everyone had a good Easter. Christ is risen, for all of us. We went to see Mikey in Jeffersonville yesterday. (For newbies,.. Mikey is my 10 year-old son with bipolar in residential care there.) He got a pass for the holiday, and we took him out to lunch. We went to a Chinese buffet. We knew he would like that, and there's one around the corner from Wellstone Hospital. We also took a drive around the area to see what all is down there. Not too much was open, it being Easter Sunday, but we did locate a mall and a Chuck E. Cheese for future possibilities. Today I'm up early to go get my exercise on. I'm going to get ready and head out the the Y in just a few. Have a great day all!

Glad you had a good Easter!! He has risen indeed! I was the only one in the nursery on Easter!! 7 under 3!! It wouldnt have been bad if a couple parents hadn't stopped in to ck on them and got 2 of them crying and never come back to get them!! I was so stressed after my nursery duty I was thankful I couldnt have any more kids!!! Went home to my well behaved non crying grandkids.. and took 3 asprin!! To my secret pal.. I did thank you for the special easter card... just couldnt see it on the board so wanted to thank you again...and Gail... you are a dream!!! Love Linda

Good morning all! I had my 6 yr old nice stay with us Friday night.  Whoo wee am I glad my kids are older.  She was non stop. I finally  had to threaten to take her home if she didnt sit down for a while. We had to end up cancelling our Easter egg hunt that we do here in our town.  It was snowing and too cold.  So we are going to try to have it this coming Sat.  Little after the fact, but I want to get rid of all this stuff sitting in my office.  I went out to Red Lobster and bowling in the evening and just as I thought, my bowling wasnt the greatest, but we had fun. We had a good Easter at my parents house.  There were 15 of us there all together.  The kids had fun with their little Easter egg hunt and coloring eggs. I weighed this morning and I am down 92 lbs.  8 more to 100..... Linda I am glad you had a nice visit with Mikey.  Is he doing any better? Well you all have a great day.

Good morning everyone! I'm glad that everyone had a good weekend...even if it was a little nippy. The grandkids had their Easter egg hunt indoors. They had fun. That's what mattered. Linda..I'm glad that things went well when you saw Mikey yeterday. See? They are feeding him and taking care of him and they won't let anything bad happen to him. Now...relax and know that he is in good hands...k? Each time you see him, you'll probably find that you have mixed feelings about him being there. Just hold on to the knowledge that they know about bi-polar kids and how to help them best...k? Linda Kay...I feel that way every time we leave certain restaurants! I don't know why it is but with most of the Denny's, Bill & I come in there..and if there are kids at a table and the rest of the tables are empty, they will sit us right by the one with kids!! If there aren't any kids there when we get there and some come, they will get seated right next to us!! And you KNOW they are going to be screaming, mis-behaving kids!  The heck with 'smoking' and 'no smoking' sections! Give me a 'no kids' section!!! I'm sure my grandkids manage to get on other people's nerve's in restaurants...but I do know for a fact that when they throw a fit, their parents don't just sit there and laugh and think they are cute! There's not alot you can do though when they aren't 'yours'. I do definately empathize though! I know it'll be a hectic today for many of you who were off of work Friday...but I hope you all have a really good day today! Glad everyone had a good time. I live near Jeffersonville, so if you would like I can let you know of some great places to go! When the weather warms up it will be even better. Bi polarism is hard to deal with at any age.....I understand this all too well! Let me know!  Wellstone is a great facility!

Good Morning. Linda - I'm so glad you guys got to spend time with Mikey outside of the center yesterday! That had to be really great for everyone. Your such an awesome mom. Jenny - You're getting close. :) Keep it up. Sherri - We always tend to get seated by the whining/screaming kids and the parents who don't get a darn too and Rich gets sooooo frustrated and mad. I've had to stop him from saying stuff before. It is annoying to me too BUT I have so many bratty nieces and nephews it doesn't bother me as bad as it does him. How was your Ham??? I had a quiet, peaceful Easter. I left my keys at the radio station on Saturday night (went to pick Rich up and sat them down on the desk and since he drove home I didn't realize they were missing) and missed church yesterday because I overslept (I'm just so tired still) and by the time I woke up I would have been able to get to church IF I had my keys. I just ended up laying back down because my head is soo achy lately. I also could NOT leave the house to go pick Rich up from work either and sooo I just made sure dinner was done (I put a roast in the crock pot with potatoes and carrots) truthfully my favorite part of the meal was the carrots. :) Although I did make sure to eat my protein first, they just tasted the best. I love veggies, preop I'd make a meal with nothing but veggies every other week. Rich isn't much of a veggie eater but I love em. :) My tummy is being a complete jerk lately again for some reason but it's not as bad as it was a few weeks ago so I'm thankful for that. Just seems like NOTHING agrees with me. I've been crunching on crushed ice a lot because it is what I've been craving and it tastes good. :) Anyways I hope everyone has a good week.

Hi Everyone, I agree, thank the Lord He is risen! Easter was a beautiful day, but can be in our hearts everyday.I am learning that I can choose joy! No matter what is going on around me its  my choise how I act & feel!! Jen,& Janene- it won't be long till you are in the 100# club, keep on keeping on gals. I am so glad you had a great time with Mikey ,Linda. he IS in the right place where they can help them. You know I am praying for you all, and it sounds like he is doing well! Now try to relax and let them do whats needed. I know it has made a change in my family members life to know how to cope with "life" & their emotions. Misty, hon, you may want to get your iron checked, too. I hope you find out whats going on and get better! Sherri,Hi there sis, hope you are resting today after your family get together!I I bet you had a ball with the grandkids!!! Hope to talk to you soon. Linda K, I quit helping in the nursery 'cause of that. Too many times the parents would "drop in" & get the kids upset then leave- and I didn't have helpers. Now, the only way I'll do it is if I choose to "drop in" and help when others are there. When I gave it up, 3 other people stepped up to do it. Maybe its time for you to let the younger bunch handle it, too. Just MY experiences here, NOT telling you what to do, ok?! After I went to church we went to my Sil house, Karen who has ovarian cancer, for dinner. We took baked chicken and fruit salad, & her kids brought the rest. One grandaughter is "dieting" so she brought tons of fattening/sugary stuff- geeze, I remember doing the same 'cause I really was hoping to sneak in the kitchen and eat while "no one was looking" then I'd say "I don't know why I am not loosing weight"Pouty??!!Who was I kidding??!!Oh Jeez I am soooo grateful those days are over! I spent time enjoying  Easter with them then called our girls. They were with the in-laws this year.Amy got me a beautiful orchid corsage for my Easter, so I wore a lite purple jacket to wear it on. It sure is pretty sitting on my bookshelf now. Plus, I got an Easter Lily for us and gave one to Karen to enjoy. If you got one, you can plant it out doors after it dies out, and it will bloom the following August. Did you know they are forced to bloom for the Easter season? Well, today is Dana's birthday and we are going ot Amy's for dinner tonight. She made him a cake, plus fixing roast, etc.  I got him some supplies he needed for his woodworking machines- it's better to let him pick out what he wants then me get the wrong stuff. I have to go get a shot at 2pm. so we may take a drive afterwards. Funny how when we get older our time together is more importnt than "things" huh? Well, my MiL from Fla. is on the phone, so gotta go. Have a good day everyone, and enjoy the sunshine! ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) Ellen
