and Dr. E will be slicing and dicing me.  I'm starting to freak a little.  As I was preparing for Easter dinner yesterday, I was wondering how I was going to manage all of these lifestyle changes.  I've read all the materials and everyone's posts.  I have my protein powder and my sipper cup and baby spoon but can I really do this?  After failing at every other diet I just don't think my psyche can handle failing at yet another.  I know this one isn't a diet but man...this is big.

We all had those same thoughts and doubts running through our heads. If you weren't freaking out about now you wouldn't be normal.

You'd be crazy NOT to worry, it is a big step.  But as long as you feel you've reasearched it, asked your questions, and trust your surgeon, then you'll be ok.  Time will pass, just try to keep yourself busy between now and Wednesday!

I hope your surgery is a big success and you have a fast recovery.  I have Dr E also but my surgery is not until 6/4/08.  So wanted to know if you would answer a few questions.  Do they put you on any kind of diet before and if so how long.  Do they want you to lose weight before the surgery? I was also wondering if you get this at the time of the NUT appt.   Thanks for letting me in on a little info.   Jacque

No pre-surgery diet with Dr. Evanson that I have ever seen anyone on OH talk about.  He does give you a pre-surgery eating plan for the day just prior to surgery.  I was never told to loose any weight prior to surgery.   You get the pre-surgery info at the NUT appt.  It consists of a good breakfast, light lunch and liquid dinner.  Nothing after midnight.  That's my plan for tomorrow.  Tonight - I eat!

Thanks for letting me know.  I would like to start stocking up my vitamins and stuff now also but have no idea what to get.  I'm sure things will go fine for you and I hope you have a speedy recovery.  My cousin had Dr E and almost everyone in my support group have had him and they love him. So good luck and let us know how things go for you.  I send my support and prayers!!!  Good luck again jacque
