hi everyone

i was back in the hospital 4 days because i vomiting everything up and they scoped me and found my opening was small so they dialated me to 15 mm it was 10 mm-and also found another ulcer and i just had my revision a month ago and ive got another ulcer ogh man----but i got my call today dr matter office is excepting me my first apt is tommorro i cant wait to meet him i no he has to be more sincere then dr evanson ever was----hope everyone had a good easter-i was released on sunday so the hubby and i stopped and bought the kids some xtra special easter things and made a easter dinner for them-they was happy ----

hi there i havent talked to you in a while-hows things been? i been doing okay still struggling everyday Im hoping things get better because I do not know what im doing wrong i quit smoking so thats a plus!  thank you for the compliment! that made me feel good-how was your easter? I cant sleep im afraid i wont get up on time to get to meet dr mattar so here i am a restless night-dr mattars nurse nancy is soooo nice she is very sweet ive talked to her on the phone several times already its a blessing I found a new dr that would take me cuz i called several and they wouldnt transfer me because i was a pt of evansons-so, im very grateful and they got me in real quick they recieved my medical records then by that afternoon they called and my apt is tuesday which is actually today lol well better go have a great day god bless you and your family

I wondered where you  had been.  That is crazy that you have another ulcer.  What in the heck is going on?  Are you staying away from caffeine?  Could be stress as well.  Hopefully they caught this one early enough that they can get it healed before it gets out of control.  Take care of yourself.

hi there yeah i been outta comission 4 while this is 2 nd time in 1 month i been back in hospital first time was for my potassium being to low and blood pressure being low-im going to see my new dr today in indy dr mattar---im not sure why or how i could possibly have another ulcer already because my revision was just a month ago i got a new pouch and everything? its crazy no i do not drink caffeine i usually drink sprite zero if i drink any pop i mainly drink water or crystal light once in while ill drink a sprite zero not even a whole can so i donno? i used to take ibpriofrim alot i guess that could be why? hows things been going for you? are you losing? are u feeling okay? hows your ulcer doing? did u have a good easter? i did thats the day i got out and the kids were so happy its so stressful for them when im in there i hate it! well i gotta get ready to go meet my new doctor! ttyl take care god bless u and your family

Yes, my ulcer is doing better.  I go for my 6 mos. visit on 4-3.  I have lost 92 lbs so far.  I am hoping to be down 100 lbs when I go for my doc appt.  We had a good Easter.  Let us know how you like your new doc and what he says.

dr mattar is excellent hes exactly the type of dr that i was looking for im very pleased about switching he actually gave me confidence that there is hope for me and he is there to help me

You're doing pop? At only a month out from your revision? It's not recommended that you even try any kind of carbonated drin****il you are at least a year post-op. I'm 3.5 yrs post-op and still can't handle any pop at all. Caffiene is bad, yes, but so is the carbonation. Iboprofin is a known cause for ulcers with post-ops. If you need OTC pain meds, stick to tylenol...or call your surgeon's office and ask them what they would recomend. Another ulcer culprit is acidities...ketup, orange juice, tomatoes. All of these...especially when you know you are prone to ulcers...should not be used until you are at least 3-6 months post-op. The further, the better. I know meats can be dry, so try a little light mayo to help it 'slide' down instead. Congrats on stopping smoking again. I sincerely hope that you don't pick them back up again. It will make the rest of your journey so much easier without them. I can't imagine what would have happened had I picked them back up. Well, actually, yes I can. I'd be dead right now. I do hope that you find what you are looking for with Dr. Matter. Just please, follow all of the post-op instructions. All of them are VERY important. Sherri

i didnt no they allowed me to have sprite zero at st vinncents? i also didnt relize aleve was a ibprofrin medication-dr mattar was excellent he was extremly nice and the dieticians were also very nice im pleased with switching drs-yeah my hubby started on chantix 2 days ago hes going to quit too so im glad about that-
