I came home yesterday (surgery was on Wednesday).  I am feeling pretty well just like I did 1000s of sit ups for no reason at all.  I haven't taken any pain meds in two days but I had my script filled just in case I do need it. The worst has been the nausea but that has even seem to lift quite a bit already. They took my gall bladder too.  Evidently I had a ping-pong ball size gall stone...was news to me as I wasn't having any pain because of it.  The surgeon actually had to make one of my incisions bigger to get the thing out - CRAZY for something that big not to have already been giving me issues. I'm trying to get all my supplements in and drink a protein ****tail (if I call it a ****tail perhaps it will taste better) but I just don't think I'll be able to get it all in.  I'm fill after not even 1/4 of a piece of string cheese and two bites of applesauce.  I"m sip, sip, sipping but man alive..this will literally take three days at this point.  My husband and I did the math. I was down to 228 on my scales this morning so it is already working.  YAY RNY!

Take your pain meds, that is why they gave them to you.  It will get better, I was nauseated for about 3 days after coming home.  Do the best you can and just keep water with you at all times.  It will get easier with time.  The first 3 months are the hardest.   Just think of the muscles in your stomach and all the work they done inside you.  You had a major surgery. You are going to hurt.  Good luck to you! BTW...Congrats on the weight loss already.

Welcome home and just take it a sip at a time if you need to. It is hard to get things down but all you can do is the best that you can do. My surgeon told me that it gets easier as the time goes and it is true. I wish you luck and know that things are going to be great for you in your new life.

Glad to see you are home and doing pretty well. I have been asking about you. I know what you mean about the protein drinks. I had trouble getting them in at first too. Now I have a pretty good schedule going and seem to be getting it all in. It does get easier. Ugh, and I really feel ya on the nausea. I had that for a couple of days too. It was horrible.
