death in the OH Family

Thanks, everybody for thinking of me.  Thanks Jan for letting everyone know.  Dad went into the hospital at 2 am on March 24, he could not breathe.  They started him on a pain pump and roxinal for break through pain.  If he tried to get up out of the hospital bed his oxygen sats dropped into the 70's.  It was horrible.  By Wednesday  his liver enzymes started to go up, and kept getting worse, he started to get confused.  Friday morning at 6 am he took his last dose of ativan and never responded to us.  He turned very yellow,  it was a combination of the cancer and liver rejection/failure.  he died Friday at 1:15 pm with his family surrounding him.  He made us promise we wouldn't shut down the warehouse for his funeral, so his viewing is tomorrow and Friday and we will have celebration of life Saturday at 11:00am  at our church.  He was an amazing guy and will be truly missed.  Our faith is in God and we know that he is at peace in heaven with his savior.  That fact makes it so much easier for us.
