Annette, Tell her to get her butt in the hospital. Get it while its still stoppable. Worry about paying after. I have a coworkers sister dying in the hospital with terminal stomache cancer and fighting tooth and nail to live. You are def. in my thoughts and prayers. Your son is very brave and we need them now more than ever. To much craziness everywhere right now. As least he knows where he is needed and isn't afraid to fight! Thank him for me and family. With love Shanna

Annette, Have your daughter apply for Wishard Advantage. Yes, she has to get her medical treatment there at Wishard hospital, but it have very low co-payments. For Jay's testicular cancer last year, I think the amounts of the co-pays were: $100 for the surgeries,  $50 for each specialist visit, and $25 for each test. I don't recall any co-pay for the meds. Since I paid all the co-pays, if there was one for them, it wasn't much or I'd remember it better. That includes his follow-up testing...although he does have to reapply once a year I think...which isn't much beyond proof of income. He has no income...so no problem there. Have your daughter do this ASAP! Cancer ANYWHERE is not something you horse around with. Jay waited a year before he told anyone about his lump...and considering I had a sister to die of lymphatic cancer and my father also died of cancer, I could have knocked that boy into next week! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Do not ever feel selfish asking for prayers!!! Remember that God does not limit how many prayers that we can say so it's not like a prayer for you is going to take away from someone else....ok?  If you ever want to talk...I'm here. Sherri

Annette, my prayers are being sent up for your family and you. Don't feel like you are bothering us when asking for prayers. We are a family and that is what family is for. We help each other when it is needed.  Please tell your daughter to hurry and get what ever help she can. Please do as Sherri suggested and get to Wishard for that.  Please tell your son that I respect him greatly for what is doing for our country. I admire him for his sacrifice.  You should be very proud of your children as I am sure you are.  I am sending love and hugs to you and please let us know how things are going.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Sorry to hear about your daughter's cancer.  At least she caught it early, so hopefully she can get taken care of really soon.  I have a 26 yr. old son that is still in school and no job and of course no insurance, so I can relate to that.  Thank God we have not had any real serious problems except allergies and thyroid with him.  You and your whole family will definitely be in my prayers.  Problems do get depressing alot of the times.  I understand how you feel about your son going to Iraq, but we are thankful for the things that he and all of the soldiers are doing over there for us.  I would feel the same way if one of my sons were going over there too.  One of my sons almost took a promotion and went to Phoenix and I thought that was too far away....lol.  Just try to hang in there and hopefully things will get better soon.  (((BIG HUGS)))       Candy
