Why after approval does it take two weeks to get scheduled?

Ok why does it take 2 weeks after my doctors office has my approval to be scheduled??? I WANT IT NOW...lol

Hang in there, I know it drives us all insane.  But the surgeon has to coordinate their schedule and the hospital OR schedule.  They have to wait to hear back from the hospital's scheduler to get your date.

You sound like Verioca on Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory....I WANT IT NOW....lol! This is the hardest part of the wait....it will be here.  Just hang in there.  I see you got your pic on, did I tell you correctly?

Yes you sure did!! Thanks bunches... Yeah I feel better this am, just knowing I'm approved and in a couple weeks they will call to schedule.  I wonder how far out they schedule? I mean when she calls are we talking few weeks or a few months?  I am hoping Now for May 9th!   Your doing wonderful it sounds.  Did your husband stay at the hospital with you?

When they called me I think it was about 1 1/2 months away.  That was towards the end of the year.   I think Sherri said that this is a slow time for Dr. Gupta so hopefully it wont be long.  No, my husband didnt stay with me.  We had 2 girls that had to go to school the next day.  Plus I was released the day after surgery.  So he just came back the next day after the girls got out of school and picked me up.

It took me 5 weeks to get my date from when I got approval.  My surgery isn't until 9/24/08.  I am having the DS done so that explains a bit about the long wait from now till then.  My surgeon is Dr. Inman and she is well worth the wait. Unfortunately I am a bit impatient also, so the wait is driving me nuts.  1 week down and 25 more to go till my day! Nina

I had Dr. Cacucci who is in the same office as Dr. Gupta and it took about a week or so to get my date BUT my surgery date was only 2 weeks after I got it. This was last summer though and I've noticed a lot of people just getting their dates are 4-6 weeks soo I'm guessing that would be a good time frame to give. :)
