Dr. Ditslear?

So, has anyone out there gone through this with Dr. Ditslear at the Community North hospital in Indy?  I'm having RouxEnY on 4/15/08 at 11am.  I'm just curious what anyone else's experience has been!   Thanks all!

I had RNY with Dr. Ditslear at Clarian North.  I think Dr. Ditslear is a very skilled surgeon.  He hand stitches everything instead of using staples so that he doesn't have to make large holes for the staple guns.  He is very quiet and totally an introvert (as am I)...so just be aware of that.  You're going to need to ask the quetions to pull stuff out of him.  Also, he was late for my surgery by about 30-40 minutes. After the surgery, he talked with my wife but I didn't see him again until the evening of my second day in the hospital.  This was a little disconcerting, but I was in good hands with the nurses at the hospital. Overall, I was pretty pleased with Dr. Ditslear.  The person I'm most impressed with though, is his P.A., Lori Vasquez.  She's the perfect compliment to Dr. Ditslear and is very knowledgeable. Hey Vicki:  Thanks so much for the welcome and all of the emails!!!  You are great!!!!  I hope you had a great time at the clothing exchange this weekend!  This does seem like a fabulous group!  You've all welcomed me with open arms and I love it!   Thanks!! Bob:  Thanks so much for the info!  I have found him very introverted as well.  I'm extroverted so I'll have no problems with the questions!  It's great to know about the hand stitches and the lateness about the surgery though.  And also that you didn't see him anymore until the day after the surgery.  I won't worry about it then if I don't see him right away.  I've heard wonderful things about Lori!  I'll be glad to finally meet her!  Thanks SO much for telling me about your experience and your opinion!!! Can't wait to hear more!
