A WOW moment
Yesterday instead of going to the clothing exchange my DH and I had the oil changed in my car which was bought in Lafayette (an hour and a half from where we live) then went on to my mother in laws house in Mellott to see her and take her to dinner. While we were there visiting we also walked next door for my DH to see his brother. Well when I walked in my sister in law (who can be rude and crude) said "Oh my god you are skinny"". Well I couldn't think of a quick comeback and all I could say was Thank you! Later when my DH and I were talking I told him just the way she said that it was a WOW moment. Then of course my wonderful mother in law (NOT) told me you are looking so good now just don't go out and regain all this weight. Such confidence!!!
Sue,
Some people are just so rude. For you, it's in-laws..for me, it's the blood relatives that are like that. For all of them?
..ignore them and go on! You are right though...WOW! HaHAHAHAHA!!!! I AM SKINNY NOW!
Perfect attitude to take with someone like that!!!

I second everything that has been said about family. They can be so pessimistic and nasty. I like to just ignore them and let them talk among themselves. You know the old saying~You can pick your friends but not your family. If that wasn't the truth I wouldn't have some of the family that I do.
You have some wow moments and I would take them and run with them.

I agree with what everyone else said. Family can be rude, crude, and other things. My mom loves the way I'm looking, but she'll remind me not to gain the weight back like I did when I had RNY 11 yrs. ago. It's like......I don't know that?! Oh, well, sometimes you've got to love them and go on.....or at least "try" to....LOL
