Hello all! Happy Tuesday! I'm up at 5:30am and ready to go. Can't decide yet whether I'm going swimming or on the treadmill at the Y. One or the other. I will be working at the high school today for the majority of the day. That's always a nice change to get out of the office. I will miss going there. There were some reassignments in our office, and this will be my last semester working with the students from Terre Haute South. I'm now assigned to Gibault School to help with students coming out of High School. I don't know what I think about that yet. For those who aren't familiar, Gibault is an institution for children who have gotten in trouble. Some are more minor problems, but there is a sex offender program there too. Well,.. I'll just do the best I can with the assignment. I can hear the birds singing outside. I love that about this time of year. I just seems to cheer me up. Mikey seems to be doing well. He's reached a yellow level down there in the hospital. There are more priviledges at yellow level. So he's happy about that, as are we. I am worried about him getting to finish the program though. Mediciad has decided to review his stay there, before approving it. Anthem, my insurance has approved 28 days so far.

Good early morning all.  This day is alot busier than yesterday was.  This morning I have a Relay for Life meeting at the golf course here at the casino.  That is going to take up alot of my morning.  At least it is going to be nice today.  Today, Jimmy has to go to the local WorkOne recruitment center and RE-APPLY for a job at the casino!!!  He was finally told yesterday that he can re-apply.  He is excited, yet apprehensive at the same time.  He is hoping to get to come back as a dealer, but he doesn't care if he winds up in another department........just as long as he is able to be working there.  Please keep the prayers going and your fingers crossed that he hears something good out of this.   Yesterday evening, we had 4 friends over for a cookout.  It was so nice, we decided to grill out fresh hamburgers.......gotta love the cattle that WERE in our field! LOL  They were the best burgers I think I have ever eaten!  We ate until we couldn't eat anymore, and then we played cards for awhile.  I am really enjoying the game of Euchre.  I just learned it in December, so every week we play.  It is really fun!  I wish I had learned it along time ago, but my family played spades and canasta instead.  Those are fun games as well tho. Time to hop in the shower and get ready to run.  Have a wonderful day!!! Enjoy the sun while it lasts, it is supposed to rain late tonight, all day tomorrow, and Thursday.......uggh!

Mark and Zach sure like it when I am up this early...they get breakfast!  LOL  This morning they got pancakes and homemade syrup!  YUMMMMMMY  I got an egg with cheese and of course my decaf coffee!  I drink about a pot or more a day!  Gettin' those liquids in! I had planned on going to the nursing home to see my aunt today. Today is her birthday....93 years young! She will understand though...I am needed for the next generation!   Suppose to be a yucky day today...rainy and cloudy. Hope y'all stay dry today! I will probably be back and forth online today, so will talk to y'all when I can! Have a smiley day! hugggggggggs, Janene

Good morning all of my fellow Hoosiers Losers!!! I hope that today is a sunny day for all even if the sun refuses to shine outside.  Sun  I don't see any sun out yet. I know that later today we are suppose to start having rain. It is suppose to be cooler today too. I do know that the grass is turning green now and not the ugly shade of brown that it has been. You have to find the good in everything even when it is hard!!   Thumbs Up  I didn't get to the store yesterday for the few things I wanted to get so guess what I am doing later on today. Yeah, you are right on that one~the grocery store today!!!!  Shopping 2 It started out that there wasn't going to be much to get but the list is getting longer and I am not happy about that at all.  I had the last bible study last night so we are finished with the grief study now. It was strange but while we had that 2 of the people in it lost a close family member. One lost her mom a few weeks ago and yesterday one lost her sister. It was a very interesting study to me since I have plans to go into working in hospice. We talked about the next one and it is going to be on the women of the bible. I am really going to like that one. I have to let Pastor borrow my Women's Study Bible since there is a spot in there for the women of the bible. I told him that I would let him use it becasuse he is nice.  Happy  I am surprised that Bill is up now. He usually stays in bed for a while after I get up. I had just opened my eyes and in came Misty. I told her I don't know how she knew that I was awake. Darn cat must have radar, that's all I can say.  Cat  I better get going. I have gone on long enough. I know that you all must know even though you haven't met me yet that I am a talker. lol Now all of you are thinking "Wow, that surprises me, Brenda!" I hope that you all have a good day today. I am sending my love and hugs to all of you. I will check in later to see what is going on.

It is a balmy 53 degrees down here in Salem....hopefully we will hit the 73-75 mark again today!  We had intentions of taking Braedyn for his first walk, but his stomach has been bothering him from switching to formula, so we figured we better not chance it!  So I piddled in the yard and did some work at home on the back patio.  I cannot wait til it warms up a bit more. I love to sit out there and have my coffee outside too. That is like my fav thing to do. It is my  "self time" where I can just relax and have a little hint of peace and quiet. I have to head into work soon. I have tried to go back to reg hours this week, but am having a hard time making myself go. I would rather stay home with Aubrey and Braedyn and play. She is doing so well being a new mom. She goes back to school in two more weeks, so then I will get to have a couple hours a day with just Braedyn and I at home. Yeah!!!  I hope everyone enjoys their day and takes a minute to seel the sun on their face. Its the best dose of vitamins and you can't help but smile when you feel its warmth!

Good morning everyone! Not much going on with me today.  I am getting my hair cut today at 5, I am excited about that. I havent decided on a style yet, but I want to get it cut short.  I always liked my hair short, but kept it longer because I thought it made my face look fatter.  Now that I have lost weight, I am going to try it again.   Linda~ I am glad Mikey is getting better and some.  I hope that your insurance allows for him to stay as long as he needs. Lachelle~Keeping my fingers crossed that Jimmy gets this job. One of these days I am going to try to get to your casino maybe for a weekend getaway. Janene & Ellen~ Dont spoil those babies too much.  I just love to babysit little ones but I am glad I dont have little ones anymore. lol Everyone have a great and enjoyable day

Good morning everyone! I don't know what it is with 'birds' this morning! LOL! I didn't hear any birds..and I know Bill didn't either but we both got up at the same time which rarely happens. When I saw him, I said 'oh, the birds got you up too, huh?' LOL! It must be an OH thing! I had my follow-up with Dr. Gupta yesterday. She signed the release for me to go back to work on the 21st with no restrictions...provided I don't lift weights or anything equivalently heavy. Not a problem! We are still trying to get a handle on this diarrhea thing...it's been around since October and has worsened instead of improved since my hernia repair. I go back to see Dr. Bergman on the 16th to get her release. The Hemophiliea center called and we had a good talk. They are having one more round of CBC's done. Provided my white counts are still ok, they will release me. They're mailing me the script to get that done. So..it looks like this nightmare is finally coming to a close. Woo-hoo! I did tell Bill that it would had been nice to have a little more time off with warmer weather so we could have done a little camping before I go back...lol! I talked with Matt last night. He & Jodi are going to sit down and come up with dates & times that would be good for visitors. Jodi starts her internal radiation soon...which means she will be even further wiped out. I did tell him that it was NOT important for Jodi to be home OR awake. The last thing we would want is for her to feel that she had to be up playing hostess! I told him that as long as her mom is there to let us in to clean or what-ever, that would be fine. So..those who have contacted me, I will send you out an email as soon as I get that list from him. I also talked to him about Gage & Quin. They are suppose to include in their email anything that either of the boys could want or need that they (Jodi & Matt) aren't able to do at this time. I'll include those things in my email to those who have contacted me also. I could tell that the stress of it all is starting to catch up to him...so while keeping Jodi in your prayers, please whisper one for Matt as well. I heard that there were some grumblings about the way a few things were handled at the clothing exchange. Things have developed the way they have because of a variety of reasons. I would ask that if you have any questions/complaints about it, please refer those to Dawn, Brenda, or myself. We would be happy to try to answer your questions. The Clothing Exchanges were started to benefit post-ops. They are the ones whose sizes change rapidly. We never minded if OH members brought friends or family. Something we noticed though was that some of these people had no problem what-so-ever in taking ALL of the smaller sizes. Post-ops from a size 12 and down were leaving empty handed because so and so's friend/sister/daughter/whatever grabbed all of them (except if they had a rip or stain...gee thanks!). So...the 15 minute rule was born. Pre-ops, even if they have a date, were included in this wait. For them, that wait really means very little since there is always more clothes in the larger sizes than anything else. Once they have their surgery, they really appreciate that 15 minute wait then! So who doesn't appreciate it? Those who either aren't having the surgery or doesn't need it. To those, all I can say is that there wouldn't even BE clothing exchanges if it weren't for the post-ops need for clothes. You are an invited GUEST. You are a Welcomed GUEST.  But if you would prefer to bring your clothing to Goodwill and buy your clothes somewhere rather than wait that 15 minutes and get some clothes for free, go for it. BUT....the rule does remain, the post-ops get a 15 minute head start. On the same topic of clothes, we do also ask that they be in good condition. If they are stained up or ripped up, they belong in the garbage instead...k? The only other 'rule' we have really is that no one eats until grace is said. I personally think that is common curtesy...to God. I hope everyone has a really terrific day! Bill & I went for a walk yesterday and are planning on talking another one today. It feels SO good to be able to walk again! Now to just be able to drive again!!! I am determined to be able to before Saturday! Sherri
