Sherri, I had my consultation with Dr. Bergman last week, and I am scheduled for a tummy tuck and inner thigh lift on June 9th.  I know you weren't as satisfied with your inner thighs, but after talking with her, and looking at some pictures I decided to go for them.  I really hate my inner thighs..... I am excited and scared at the same time.  She said that the suregery would take about 6 and half hours.  That is a long time to be out!   I did put your name down as a referal, so hopefully they can give you a little kick back somewhere :) Tina

Tina, Thanks for that referral! I'm hoping that if enough people do, it'll really help when I'm ready to get the girls done. I wouldn't say I'm dissatisfied with my thigh lift. It's just that I don't think I had a clear idea of how much would be left. If the majority of your loose skin is in the upper half of your thigh, you will be thrilled with the results. If you are like me though to where you have alot of loose skin from pelvis to knee, you may not be as happy, happy with the lower half..because much of that remains. I can grab a handful of skin on the inner thigh just above the knee on both legs. That, is what I wasn't expecting. There are some people though who I think it would benefit ALOT. You may be one of them. I think I probably needed an outter lift some too because when I roll over, I have a heck of a hip-flap.  After all I've gone through though? The girls and MAYBE the arms..but that is it!! And those aren't until 2009 sometime. I've had my fill for 2008! I had the full TT with the abdo done and the thigh lift..and I was out a good 6-7 hours. Be sure you tell them in recovery that night to get you up and walk with you! Otherwise, they'll just let you lay there and that's not good. And if you have any breathing difficulties at all, GET TO THE ER! With long surgeries, blood clots are a real risk. With that mu*****ision line though, they don't like to give you blood thinners so that you don't have excess bleeding. So be very attentive to your body. And if you do have to go to the ER , be sure to ask them to specifically check for blood clots or you may be misdiagnosed with pnumonia! Good luck and let us know when you have a date. Don't you just love Dr. B though?? Sherri

Sherri, Thanks for explaining the specifics of your thigh lift.  I don't have exess skin towards the knee, mine is all at the top of the thigh. Dr. Bergman feels I will have good results, so here's hoping,  cause I hate them the way they are now. I did ask about the blood thinners, and it makes sense with the multiple incisions that it could cause excess bleeding.  I will make sure I am up and walking though!!! My surgery date for the plastics is June 9th.  I am excited and nervous at the same time. Thanks for all your insight, and hopefully I can make it to the next exchange to talk with you in person. Good Morning, Wow, we have had 3 beautiful days of sunshine and warmth.  Just wonderful to open up the sun roof on the car and feel that warm sunshine.  I actually got hot yesterday but no complaining!!  I have taken a couple of days off during my son's spring break.  We aren't doing anything super special but bike riding, walking and house cleaning.  He is so excited about the last item as you can imagine.  Sunday we rode for 10 miles - the first time I have been on a bike for years and years.  I bough a new bike last year after surgery but my knees still couldn't tolerate the motion.  But I have lost another 70 lbs or so since then so no problems at this point with riding.  I also did a modified liquid protein regimen yesterday and since Sunday the scales are showing a 2 1\2 lb loss.  Yeah!!  I have been stuck for awhile so it is nice to see the scales moving once again.  Speaking of moving, I better get going.  I have promised Kyle a bike ride at noon if he will walk with me first.  He hates to walk but loves to ride his bike.  He is working on weight loss as well so I am encouraging him to walk as well as bike ride and to record his intake on fitday.com.  He has been doing well the last few months so he is pretty motivated right now.  Have a great day everyone. Not much happening today. I'm very tired and not feeling very energized. Linda - I'm soo glad that Mikey is doing better. Janene & Ellen - Enjoy the little ones. LaChelle - We're praying for Jimmy and you guys!! I hope he hears something quickly. Umm not much else to say. I just got back from my PCP's office to discuss my lab work that wasn't so great but other than that not a whole lot else going on. We talked about my blood sugar dropping and stuff like that and my liver biopsy and just a bunch of stuff. He thinks a lot of my tiredness is my pre-albumin levels and I've been slowly increasing my protein but not noticing a whole lot of difference. Other than that it's pretty much all thats happening. No big plans today except for laundry.

Hello Everyone.... Today has been a busy morning.....Today is my 11th month!!!!!  I weighed and am up a pound from what my ticker shows.....but hoping to get the scale moving in the right direction again. Dh is in Indianpolis still, so last night I took some Nyquil Sinus, these sinuses are driving me crazy, and that helped me to sllep well.  Been busy getting the kids ready for their visits with their biological parents..... Lexi(my daughter) is home from school today as they are having Kindergarten Round-Up.  Once Preston leaves at 11, I am off to town to get her and her friend lunch.  Going to take my rings to the jewelry store to get them sized.  I dont see me losing enough weight from here out to need them done again in the future.  Then to feed my Moms cats...... Once DH gets home tonight....I will get my measurements done.  Hope they have changed at least a little. Got my protein in first thing this morning.....had some SF Kool-Aid, and now working on some hot-tea......having cream of wheat with Unjury protein in it for lunch.  My belly has been burning......was really hoping to be off my Prevacid at one year....but we will see. Hoping to cross stitch some today.....some much needed me time!!!!  And then wait for DH to get home....he text me last night and my Nyquil had kicked in, he probably thought I was drunk!!!!! We got our big screen back from the repair shop last evening.....so now I can move some furniture.....and start looking for a media shelf to put beside it. Thank you so much for everyone who has sent me messages.....I really appreciate it.  I know I can do this and get to goal.....just seems to be taking the scenic route. Hoping to get on and talk more tonight...... Love and Hugs, Holly
