Gail, I have tried Reboks and New Balance and some others but the most comfortable ones I have found that aren't a lot of money is from Wal Mart and they are Dr. Scholls. They cost $26.00 and I really like them. I use them at the Y when I work out too. Mine are white with blue trim if that helps you find them. Good luck, sweetie.

Gail, I got mine from Dick's Sporting Goods. I want to check out the Good Feet store though. There's one on the south side at 6905 S. Emerson, #B. Sherri

I just bought a pair of running shoes at Shoe Carnival.  They had buy one get one 1/2 price.  They were ASICS and were on sale for $29.99.  I always buy running shoes to walk in.  I think the walking shoes are too heavy and are usually all leather.  You could always go let them tell you what you need then price shop the same shoe elsewhere.  Good luck.  I do know that the right shoe makes a huge difference in speed and distance as well as how you feel after your workout.

If you ask a podiatrist most will recommend New Balance.  They are one of the few brands that are actually made for women's feet.  Most others are just down-sized men's shoes.  The offer support in all the right places.   I usually get mine at TJ Maxx or Marshall's.  They are about half the price at the discount stores than they are at the sporting goods stores.  Anything less than $30 and I buy them.

Hi  Annette, I went looking today and tried on many kinds. One service person said since I have walked a lot in the past I should start easy. The shoes he suggested  New Balance and work myself up to a different style of New Balance. Thanks for your help. Blessings, Love and Hugs, Gail        Walking 2
