Monday!

Hello all,... how are you today? I hope you are doing great. I'm up at 5am. I think I should go to the Y, but I don't really want to. Mostly I want to get back in bed, but I got plenty of sleep, so,... I dunno. We went to see Mikey yesterday. He's doing pretty good. Made levels alot this week, so we took him out to Chuck E. Cheese down there in the area on his pass. He seemed to have a good time. We had a good visit with him. Today, it's back to work. Ugh. Again, I just mostly want to stay home in bed. Maybe I'm coming down with something. I guess it's possible. Mike, my dh, is going out, starting to look for a part-time job today. That will help out, and take some pressure off me. Anyone know of any job leads in Terre Haute? LOL.

Good morning all!                   No big woo-hoo plans for me today. Maybe I'll sit down here long enough to get my bills paid..lol. I hate doing that with all this medical stuff coming in now! but...a neccesary evil.                       I had a blast at the Country Music Expo!! I tried out my new binoculars/camera. I haven't downloaded the pics yet. I hope they come out! If they did, I'll be adding them to my picture trails page ( http://www.picturetrails.com/sweetsherri61) . It was pretty dark in there though for pic taking unless you had a realy fancy camera. Tiffany took some of me with my favorite Aussie hat on. If it turns out good, I may make that my new Avatar after she sends it to me.  My favesof the day? Randy Owen (Alabama) and John Rich (Big & Rich). Both guys were great! Since Alabama was my first band to see in concert, I especially enjoyed him! Of course, we enjoyed the booths too. I got me 2 western shirts (OMG..in SMALL! I think I could had used X-small if they had them in that size! Ah well, they should fit perfect after I get the girls done someday). I also got 4 cookbooks (the kind church's put out) and jerky's/beef sticks. We really enjoyed walking around...to the tune of 2.91 miles! Woo-hoo! Yes..I had some sore moments but I kept the Tylenol coming and made it through the day just fine. Granted, it didn't take long after we got home to switch to something just a bit stronger, but I DID make it through 8 hours of the Expo! Ellen & Dana joined us in the afternoon and we got a kick out of watching two fella's in the stands really getting into the music.  You sure could see a wide variety of hats. I was complimented on mine several times & people wanting to know where they could get an authentic one like mine instead of the cheap plastic-straw-felt ones that were the only ones available there. Vegas baby! If you want a true-blue cowboy hat, you kinda got to go to cowboy country...the south or sout-west! Isn't that right Janene?!? There were also many, many leather-fringe shirts & jackets and so many men wore the long rider coats! For a bunch of Hoosiers, we sure do have alot of Western-wear! There was one guy...true-blue Indiana Redneck Cowboy! On his head...a John Deere Green baseball type cap. In his left hand...it was either huge onin rings or nacho's..hard to tell which from the distance I saw him at. But it his right hand...get this...his cowboy hat, turned upside down, filled with sandwiches (you could tell from the tin foil)! LOL! He was using it for a dang bowl! LOL!  I had an entirely terrific time!  I was with my dear hubby, our wonderful kids and their significant others, my dear friend Ellen & her dh, and my favorite music by some of my favorite artists. What more could a person ask for???                                     I do hope each of you had an enjoyable weekend! Sherri

Good morning all.  It is rediculously cold outside this morning!!! BRRRRRRRRR! Linda, glad you had a great visit with Mikey.  We go to the Chuck E. Cheese there several times a year.  The girls like that one better than the one that we used to go to when we lived in Southern Illinois.  They want to go for the end of the school year, so I guess I will be taking them.  Maybe you will be down there at the same time! Who knows! We have alot going on today.  Today is payday, so I have to go pay bills, and take care of the general stuff for the week.  Then we are taking the girls out of school early today and going to Louisville.  One of our dear friends mother passed away on Saturday from cancer.  They only found out 2 weeks ago, so it is really hitting her very hard.  We are going to the visitation to pay our respects to the family.  My friend knows I am such a huge Relay for Life supporter, and she knows what I have been thru with my mother, so she was asking me several questions as a caregiver standpoint. When they explained the treatments, she said that she felt more at ease with it, because she knew she wasn't the only one to ever have to do it.  I feel so sad for the family, because they did only just find out about her disease two weeks ago.  There wasn't much they could do for her unfortunatly.  She was only 62.  Enough about the sadness..........Celebrate Life!  Have a wonderful day all!!!  We are going to!

Good Mornin' my Indiana Posse! I have missed y'all! GAWWWWWWWWD I  hate being sick! and to top it off I had a WOW on Friday!  I walked 1/2 a mile...thats GREAT for me! No wonder we had the dang cold weather! LOL  Anyway I hadn't walked much in about 2 years because of the weight and my knees....soooooooo this was evidently TOO much at once cause on Saturday AM I woke up around 4:30 to go potty and "SCREAMMMMMMMMMMM" I can't put any weight on my left foot...the ankle and heal HURT BAD! I ws crying! SOOOOOOO evidently on top of the sore throat....I injured my achillies tendon! SOOOOOOO I was in bed all weekend. The only positive thing about that was I could cuddle with Mark all weekend...he took real good care of me...LOL wooooohoooooooo Glad to hear y'all had a wonderful time at the PC party. I spoke with Floyd a bit yesterday when I was up. Next gathering I will be there for those hugs and smooches!  LOL (hopefully!  I am a clutz!) Shanna...OMG gal...1 more day...you are doing great...I am soooooooo dang happy for you! huggggggggs Sherri and Ellen...yeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaw  y'all cowgirl UP!  You are so right Sherri about the hat! Dang, I can't sleep.....GO figure! I went to bed early last night (hunger-head more than anything) I have to close tonight, so I could of slept in but couldn't.  To do's today:::: 1. GO TO GYM- work out all my anxiety and hunger LOL   2. Pick up batteries for my new scale...I bought a garage sale for 3 dollars (what a bargain) It holds the foure weights for different people. My scale I use now just holds one and I am sure it's possessed. LOL 3. Maybe go to library and pick some books up on cd, since I will have lots of spare time soon. 4. Run my son back to baseball   game at 3:00, They have early realease today, so I will have to run him back into Plainfield before I go to work. I have to miss his game tonight to work, I had to close either tonite or tommorrow so the other Managers get their day off before I leave.Terry has school tommorrow night and my mom   is coming in for the week from Ohio tommorrow night so my nerves will be shaken!!! SO Monday night it is!!! Ok so all of you know my schedule for the next 2 days...I will resume drinking liquids...OMG I am already sick of BROTH nad Jello and it's only been 1 day. EEAAKK LOL  

Good morning Indiana!!!! It is time to get up. If I am up everyone is up dang it all!!!! I am going into Illinois this morning with DS. He is going to be here at 7. The thing is I am so tired from my busy busy week end that I wish I was still in my cozy warm bed cuddled with Bill. Oh well, such is life and on top of that life with kids. lol It is so cold here. The frost is on everything. I want to know what the heck happened to spring. It comes in small amounts and I want it in HUGH amounts now. Come on spring!! After I get home from Illinois I am staying home and working on home. Bill got some things done while I was in church yesterday so I would like to finish but we will see if I can. I bet something will come up and I will have to go somewhere you jus****ch. The best made plans of mice and men! I hope that you all have a great day today. Good morning all! It is so flipping cold out this morning.  I didnt do anything over the weekend, pretty much bummed around.  I dont have much going on today, just working.   Hope everyone has a great day and pray for warmth soon.  I know what you all mean by freezing now.  Its terrible to freeze like this.

Have some energy today so I got up, scrolled through the board and caught myself up, and decided to post today. Not much on my "TO DO" list today except lots of phone calls for appointments and such. Then I need to get my taxes filed, hahaha! Still haven't done that. I hope everyone got their "Save The Date" magnetic cards about mine and Matt's wedding. If you didn't but are interested in coming to the wedding, plz message me so that I can add you to the offical wedding invitation list.

Gail - Sweety thank you so much for the gift package you sent. I used some of what you sent to get my hair cut yesterday out at Walmart. Being in bed all week, my hair was all knotted, twisted, and nasty as heck looking, so Matt wheeled me into Wally World's hair cutting place yesterday and I got my hair "did". Just that 40 min extersion out cost me a six hour nap. Boy, I can't wait to get my energy back up. But I just wanted to thank you sooooooo much for all the e-cards you send me daily and your prayers, and emails, and now this package too. THANK YOU! Uber Hugs!

To everyone that has sent me cards and packages - THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH. Some of you sent stuff specifically for the members of my family and not just me and that means sooooo much right now. Gage says he owes you all hugs but unforunately Teenage Laws require that he show a lack of emotional thanks, so he said you guys are just gonna have to do with a big ole fashion said "Thanks!" He's such a dork, hahahahahahahah! We all appreciate everyone efforts and can't wait for the day we can repay/pay it forward for someone else in need.

Well - getting light headed and dizzy. Gonna watch morning news and rest a few then get up and get my taxes done and make my phone calls.

I am going to start with your last comment... PAY IT FORWARD!! for years and years and years... Just enjoy the rest now because when you are treatment free and have your energy back you wont have time for the rest...Moms just never seem to get enough of it.. Heck even now that I am a grandma... that just replaces the mom energy level and somehow I think grandkids have a double portion then our kids did..\ I got the save the date and I wanted you to know I fully intend to!!!
