*~Twoderland~* no gas involved!
Congrats! All these new feelings. Some of my favorite things that still wow me are sitting in the car with the seatbelt one and forgetting it is even there. (They always choked me before, that is if I could get it even fastened) And being able to stand to put my pants on and not lean on something. I actually tie and untie my shoes now. JUST BECAUSE I CAN. There are a lot of big WOW's but it is the little wow's that still hit me every day. One of these days you'll be pulling your shirts and pants out of the dryer and think. I can't believe I can actully wear these, they look so small. Packing to go on vacation you can use a suitcase half the size becasue your clothes are hlf the size. IT IS A WONDFERFULL LIFE. Keep up the good work and soon you'll be in Onederland.
Kim, I remember hitting the Twosomes. It was so much better losing to it that gaining past it! I hit major stalls at every major goal. -50lbs....200's...-100 lbs, etc. It is those Wow's that will get you for years to come. I'm in shock whenever I buy a 'small' shirt...and then in awe when I get it home & it fits! My biggie at home was being able to fit into the captain chairs of our dining room table. Besides my small grandkids, I'm the only one in the family who can sit there comfortably! I think it takes us awhile to start dropping sizes because what we wore pre-op was getting tight and we refused to buy the next size (or two) up because we knew the surgery was coming up. So...it takes abit for them to actually fit correctly...and even longer for us to swim in them. With shoes...many of us had/have super duper fat wide feet. Rather than going to a specialty store and being fitted for the width, we just got Women's Wide at WalMart..and bought a size (or three) too long in order to get the width we needed. They didn't flop off of us since the fat feet were wedged into them. We lose the fat..we lose it in our feet too and all of a sudden, we can go to the normal width shoes and get a length that fits too. Myself, I went down 1/2 to 2 sizes..depending on the style of the shoe. Congrats on your great sucess! Sherri
