O.k. so I am rather new here. I love reading the blogs and getting to know everyone.  Each day I read and a lot of people mention work but never really say what they do or such.  I would love to get to know everyone better so I would like to start a 4 or more things about you thread. I know a lot of you know each other well but I am newbie!!!  I will start 1) I work as a meeting and event planner for a large law firm downtown .I really enjoy my job and who I work with. 2) I am married to Lance an enginner and we have 2 pugs Ellis and Emma, they are my fur kids and I am a freak about my dogs.  No really a freak, stroller, car seats the whole yards. We have been married for 4 years. 3) We sold our previous house and move into our new home a year ago, that has taken all of my free time time the last year, working on the yard etc. We moved north so my husband could be closer to his job in Lafeyettte, then 5 months after we moved he took a differnt job in Columbus IN!  So now he drive to the other end of the state! 4) No kids. I have PCOS and have never been able to get prego, so that is a hope after my surgery! I am 34 so the clock is ticking!!! 5) I enjoy photography in my spare time, I have a studio in my basement and enjopying taking pictures of children. Your Turn!!!!

Hello.  I post mainly on the Lap-band board but I stop by and say hi and check on people every once in a while.  I would really like to get to know the people on here better, as well. 1)  I am married to my high school sweetheart Ashley.  We have been married 1.5 years but have been together for 7 years.  We currently do not have children but we have 3 (going to be 4 at the end of this month) Siberian Huskies and a cat. 2)  I have two engineering degrees from the University of Evansville (BS in Civil Engineering and BS in Engineering Management).  I work as a highway designer less than a mile away from my house. 3)  I am currently running for Floyd County Council so I have no life.  I work, campaign and sleep.  That is all I have time for right now.  If I make it past the primary, it will be worth it; if I don't, I get to see my wife and fur kids again. 4)  I am 23/32 Western Cherokee which is 1/32 shy of being 3/4.  My dad's mother was full blood and his father was 7/8 which makes my dad 15/16.  My mom is 1/2.  My dad's brother (my uncle) was the chief of my tribe until about a year ago.  I hope to be a member of the tribal council at some point in my life.

Cool idea! 1. I'm a SAHM to Emily, age 5, and Molly, age 4.  My days are usually spent running Emily to preschool, going to the Y, the library, running errands, cleaning house, and all the other stuff that goes along with being a Domestic Goddess! I'm trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up, because after Molly starts kindergarten in '09, I plan to return to work part time.  Oh, and I'm a Microsoft Publisher whiz! 2. I do work part time as a church secretary, just 3 hours a week, and the girls go with me, so it's not a break from my regular SAHM gig.  3. We are very active in our church, First Church of God, here in Kokomo, and the girls love all the children's ministries!

4. Kokomo is my hometown, we've been here almost 1 year after living in Indy since 1998.  When the girls were born we decided to eventually raise them in a smaller town, and here they are close to my parents. 5. Darrell and I will be celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary on May 19. He's my best friend and my rock!!

I will go next. Love answering things and getting to know people, especially people who I think of as family. Here goes nothing. lol 1. I will be 54 years old at the end of the month. I stay at home because of a disability for my back and a bad heart. I would like to get a part time job now that I am feeling so much better. I do fill in for the church admin when she can't be at the office. 2. I am married to Bill. He is working at Mittal Inland Steel Mill and has been there for 10 years with a independant company.  We will be married 20 years next month. We knew each other less than a week when we got married and people only gave us about 6 months. Each anniversary we get a chuckle out of that one.  3. We sold our home about 5 years ago and live in a apartment now. I like it better since it is easier on Bill. He is not much on fixing things and that is something important to know when you live in a house. I am perfectly happy here but wish I had more room. Bill misses doing to yard work and planting flowers. He has made a bit of a garden in the back and so he is happy there. We have flowers and plants and mulch and a swing and chairs along with the grill.  4. I have one stepson who is going to be 28 next Tuesday. We had 3 children but they all passed away at birth. We do have a furbaby cat named Misty who is like our child. Sometimes I call her our furmonster since she is at times a monster. We love her very much though. 5. I like reading, movies and rummage sales. I also like junk stores. I don't like to shop like normal women do. I have never liked it and I don't think I ever will. I am not really computer literate but I do like getting on the computer and doing mail and some web sites ( like this one and recipes ) and playing games. I also like taking pictures with my camera. Mostly of my family and my kitty girl.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Okie Dokie.... (1)  I'm married to Bill (hubby #4), between us, we have 3 kids (Shellie is 31, Tiffany 27, and Jay is 25)..none at home, and 4 grandkids (Chance is 7, Myranda will be 4, Shyanne is 2.5, and RJ is 2).    (2) I'm a Senior Lead Tech at Lilly's in a tech service lab working on Humalog...think 'chemist', not med lab. I've been with them for 19 years..too long to quit, not long enough to retire..but I can dream of either on any given day!                     (3) I was overweight my entire life and had RNY +3.5 yrs ago. If you read my profile, I'm sure you'll be thinking 'oh my gosh!'. LOL! I believe in taking one day at a time...and complications has made sure that is a good belief to have. I have lost a total of 210 lbs..and have gained 'tons' of friends! An Excellent trade off if you ask me!              (4)  In my spare time, I love getting together with my OH friends, Bill & I enjoy our RV & Vegas, and I'm an avid reader. I was a huge Stephen King fan but I'm mellowing out with age and love Nicholas Spark!                               Sherri

Me next! 1)  I work as a Business Office Manager at an Optometrist office here in Clinton.  I absolutely love my boss.  He is truly the greatest.  He is all about family which is nice because I am too. 2.)My husband is Dan.  We started dating the summer of the freshman year, and married in 1997.  He works at Tredegar Film Inc.  He has a degree in printing, but unfortunately he couldn't make a living doing what he loves. 3.)  I have always lived in Clinton or the surrounding areas.  I love the small town, but most of all I love being close to family.  We were just laughing today because my daughter had practice (not a game), and we had 12 people there to watch.  Yep, our own team.lol 4.)  I have two wonderfully amazing kids Joel and Kara.  They make me smile everyday.  I am amazed at how wonderfully innocent they are.  And I pray that when they have their own children that they receive 1/2 of the joy that they bring me.  They also adored by their younger cousins which is another love of mine.  I love being an aunt.  I love watching my kids help their cousins discover things the same way I helped them.   5.)  I would love to be able to decorate.  We have lived in this house for 11 years, and I have never decorated..... Sure I paint, hang pictures of the kids, buy new funiture, but never decorate.  I just cannot put things together.  I find it odd because I helped in designing and decorating our new office, but I cannot do it at home.  I figure someday when my kids are grown, I will have time to "discover" my decorating sense. This was fun!  I loved reading everyone's posts, and look forward to learning more about each of you. Best wishes, Kim

MY TURN! MY TURN! MY TURN!

1). My name is Jodi. I'm in the process of getting married this August to the most wounderful man I've ever had in my life. I have one child from a previous relationship. He's 14 and his name is Gage. My soon to be husband and I have one child together, Quinntin Alyn. He'll be our only child, because as most of you know I had cancer and had to have a radical hystroectomy.

2). I suffer from a little known disease called Reflex Symethatic Dystrophy. It's similiar to muscular dystrophy only it's of the central nervous system and causes the nerve endings to self activivate as if they are in high degrees of pain. I take multiple pain pills for this disease. I'm also highly sensitive to touch because of this disease. I actually have what's called Mirror Image RSD. Which only means I actually have it one area but my body thinks I have it in two areas and acts as such.

3). I collect and read anything Dean Koontz and Stephen King.

4). I've been journaling since second grade and have kept all my journals.

That's Me!
