Good morning, Brenda, and all those yet to rise for the day.  Not much going on here today, just work as always.  It is going to be pretty for the early part of the day, so get out and enjoy it if you can!   I am headed to the gym after the girls get on the bus.  I am hitting the treadmill and the elliptical hard today.  I really need to get my strength and stamina up, so I can take place in the 5K this fall.  I figure if I get an early start on training now, 5K will be easy for me by October!  I am ready for the weekend.........of course I am working it, but thats ok, it pays some of the bills! LOL   Good luck to all the upcoming surgeries, and of course to all the prayer requests, my thoughts and prayers are with you all!  Have a wonderful day!

Good morning! It is time to be up and about since it is Friday. It won't be long and it is going to be the week end and that is not a good thing~it is a great thing!!!!!! This morning I am going into the church and going visiting with Pastor. We are going to see our shut ins and those in the nursing homes and visiting and serving them communion. It is going to be nice to see those of my church family that I haven't seen in church.  Misty is looking out our patio door. I like to say that she is looking out over her back 40 since that is what my dad always use to say. The older I get the more like my parents I get. That too is not a bad thing. They were both wonderful people who had a strong belief and was very much in love to the day that dad passed. You could always see it in the way they looked at each other and talked to each other. Today is suppose to be wet but some of the places are having some pretty bad storms today and hopefully that won't be us. So far we haven't had the rain that they were saying we were going to get starting through the night. I do know that the sun isn't out so who knows. Misty is at it again witht he rug at the patio door. She is laying with her front feet under it and looking outside over the top. I swear that she thinks that I bought that thing just for her amusement. She thinks everything here is for her amusement come to think of it. I won't be long and she will jump up like a jack in the box and start running all over the place. Sometimes she seems like the world is passing her by and other times you can tell that nothing gets passed her. Now she is standing at the door and her head is going back and forth like a never before. Oh! She is watching a bird flying around. She is my furmonster. I call her that instead of my furbaby because she is the monster that I created. Enough about the monster.  I hope that you all have a blessed day today and I will meet you back here later on.                                        TGIF!!!        It looks like I'm going to make it through a full week back at work!! Woo-hoo! No..I can't say I accomplished much while here, but for me, it was an accomplishment to make it the entire day every day! I know..today is just beginning but the hard part is done..I AM here!  Check out the post about giving up a little info about yourself. When we've been on here for awhile, it's easy to forget that the newbies on the board don't have a clue as to who we are. So...share!!  Great thread start!         Mark your calendar fellow cooks! My Pampered Chef party will be on May 17th at 2. Yep, you all are invited!!! My address is on the Directory..but let me know if you plan on coming & how many will be with you so I can be sure there is plenty of seating..ok?     I plan to get a little bit of vegetable & herb planting done this weekend. Morning all! Well...we got the rain and a few thunderboomers too last night. I flew up out of bed...scary sight! Now why is it that a storm can wake me up but not an earthquake?!  Work has been crazy...two trials last week a depo this week and another depo next week! I have definitely earned my pay! I am hoping just to have a day to clean my office! I had a day off finally yesterday to do as I wished...and I wished to clean my daughter's room. She hated it, but what 16 yr old doesn't! I have asked for months and she put me off so I went in and took out her mattress, box spring and bedframe and told her she could have them back when she got it clean! Needless to say by 10 last night it was done. My 14 year old is next!  We are looking to buy a place about 5 miles outside of town. I want to be more rural...everyone else just dreads moving!  Dale is home recovering from another heart attack. The Dr told him years ago to stop smking and refuses. So He is now up to 2 stents, a triple bypass and a road block. This one blew two of the bypasses and luckily one rebypassed on its own. The other was not saveable. This time the Dr told him that the next one will kill him because he has lost over 60 % of his heart. Of course he was upset and cried for days...but as soon as he got in the car when he was released...he lit one up! He is smoking 2 packs a day now nad just does not care! i have had to make myself just be indifferent about it. It seems cold, but between him and the kids...they know it all and what is best and I am just being a B...H!   Sorry...guess I needed to vent a bit. Other than all that craziness everything else will be better. I am working out more and giving me alot more me time! As a matter of fact I am going to take my coffee and head outside to watch the day begin and the birds eat!  Enjoy your day everyone!

Good morning all! I hear the thunder rumbling.  It is suppose to   today. I didnt get a chance to post yesterday. I was so busy at work yesterday trying to get the beginning of the month stuff done before I had to leave to go for my 6 mo. post op visit. Everything went great! Dr Gupta told me I would have my labs drawn at 1 yr. post op.  I am down 102 lbs.  BTW arent we suppose to get a Tshirt if we lose 100 lbs.? **Brenda** I live on property that was my great grandpa's and he always called that property the back 40.  We dont call it that now, we call it the farm.  Must be an old timer thing. I hope everyone has a good day

Good Morning All, I am up early sometimes I tried to get alittle sleep in 6-10 am not sleeping very  mush at night. I don't have any plans this week -end other than going out to dinner with Phil & his's family. not sure I am ready visit with the family, oh well, long story short  they drive me pure nutty, LOL. Sherri, I am so happy you made it this week, I know how tired you have been. Pat, yourself on the back and think of this as a "WOW" moment.
