GOOD MONDAY MORNING

WELL I AM UP EARLY FOR WORK AND SEEN NO ONE STARTED THE DAY SO I THOUGHT I WOULD. I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A VERY BLESSED DAY.  I AM GOING TO MAKE AN EFFORT TO POST EACH DAY. I LET LIFE GET ME TO BUSY AND NOT POST LIKE I WANT TO . I FIND I MISS THE POSTS HERE AND THE FELLOWSHIP I GET AS WELL AS ADVISE.

SMALL UPDATE FROM OUR HOUSE,,,,JIM IS GOING TO BE A GRANDPAW THIS YEAR HIS FIRST... HE IS AND ISNT LOOKING FORWARD TO IT. SAYS HE ISNT READY TO BE A GRANDPAW BUT I THINK HE JUST ISNT READY TO THINK OF HIS SON BEING A DAD IS ALL...LOL WELL TIME FOR SHOWER AND WORK 'HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY . VICKI

Good Morning All, Hope everyone add a good night of sleeping, I didn't. I think something my mom said to me when I called her last night, I had sent my before/after pic's and she said "wasn't you embarassed by how you looked 2 years ago". It just made me sad. She didn't even ask if I was feeling better. She has hurt me many times re: my weight. I said to myself I wasn't going to allow it to bum me out but she did. I had a good day yesterday. I had both daughters & 4 grandkids over, it was wonderful. I always have fun with the kids but when they come they want to play on the WII game thing. Everyone, send me positive vides today I need them. LOL. And let's all keep Jamie in our thoughts and prayers, her surgery is at 3:00 today. As always I sent healthy wishes to those in need. Gail, Here is a positve thought for you... YOu are positivily one of the BEST!! If the world had more people like you there would be less stress and a whole lot more love spread around.. Life would be where you can relax and be confident that you can achieve anything you set your heart on... POSITIVELY!! If there were more like you in the world. I loved my mom dearly.. but she worried so much about my weight and my sisters weights that she would say things she really didnt remember saying...SHE would be so amazed how I have lost and almost maintained... Heck at a garage sale the other day I bought one of my mother in laws old jackets and told my sister in law wouldnt mom be shocked to see me wearing one of her jackets.. MY mom opnly wore a size 8 so I doubt I would ever get into some of HER old clothes... but she would be happy for me and brag tons...But she would have also said what your mom said... we just got to pick up and move on... they love/loved u s... really... I am going to have a great Day today.. life is not going to beat me... I have a special insentive to work harder on loosing a few more pounds and "getting back on track"..Much Love, Linda KAY  (just to let you know it's really me)

Good morning everyone! I'm off to a good start..I'm at work anyway. LOL! This has been a really sore tummy day already though. That's a carry-over from yesterday I think. Saturday, it wasn't too bad but it was yesterday. I measured my waist and sure enough, it was 2.5" bigger than Saturday. Sure beats me why it does all the things it does. Come on the 20th!! I am SO hoping to get some answers then! Which reminds me...on May 21st, Gail is having a consult with Dr. Bergman at 2:30. I have my next follow-up with Dr. Bergman at 4:40. So..we talked about trying to meet at Max & Erma's at 3:30..although...that consult may take more than an hour. Dr. Bergman is very thorough tries to make sure you leave with all your questions answered. Anyway, when I leave work, I'll head for Max & Erma's and stay there until ~4:30. If anyone wants to & can make it there, I'll see you then!                      Pamela...my Kinoko's continue to be black when I take them off in the mornings (4 nights in a row so far). Other than my stomach pain, I really do feel better I think. Woo-hoo better? No..but better. Since they are still real black, I take it that I still have alot of toxins in my body. Bill asked me how in the world I can have anything toxin in my body considering how/what I eat...and how everything goes right through me...lol.                             Gail...I'm gonna head down and get me a decaf latte. Give me a call anytime you want to. I have a staff meeting from 10-11 and a training thing from 3:30-5. I think I'm going to set this notebook project aside for today and concentrate on getting my training caught up. Either way, training or notebooks, any distractions, phone calls, etc will probably be welcomes. Well...ALMOST anything.                      Jodi...today is Tiffany's first day working with Sarah. She is so happy to FINALLY be working again. Thanks again for the job lead! I hope you're feeling better & all is going well. I miss you girl!               Marianne & Annette...Did you swell up 3-4 inches for months after your TT/abdo? I'm thinking that mine has more to do with the intestines & hernia stuff than the TT/abdo. If I'm not hurting much, my waist measures 33.5". If I am hurting, it's 36-37"! What did your pant size do pre vs post? Because of all the swelling, I'm still in the same pants. Sure, a few are too big but not most of them (except in the legs...most are too big there now). My shirt size is what's really gone down...and THAT I didn't need to go down! I went from a medium to a small....and some smalls are too big!                              We took the RV to be serviced Saturday. Driving it was no problem. I think I'd have problems with the awning..my usual job..but other than that, I think I'm physically RV ready! Hopefully, it won't take them long to find & fix all of it's little problems. I saw a sign that said their labor fees is $110 per hour! I think I'm going to ask Bill if he'd like to do something Memorial Day weekend. I am just ready to do something that is relaxing..and NOT be recouperating!                                 

All went well this weekend in the me  & Bill area. He even wished me a Happy Mother's Day..which, he never has done before (I'm not 'his' mother and I'm not his daughter's mother...although both of them do call and tell me Happy Mother's Day....). He also took me for dinner last night. So...a pretty good Mother's Day all in all. I just hope this peacefulness lasts longer than 6-12 months...like..a lifetime would be good!  Tonight, we're taking his mom out for Mother's Day. She spent the day yesterdy with his sister so tonight, we're going to Red Lobster. Yummm! I got her some roses & a very pretty candle..two of her favorite things.

Small world...I have a 3 pm at Dr B's on the 21st (Botox). I don't know if I swelled much.  I didn't measure.  I did, however, wear my "high top" super spandex undies all the time.  I liked the support they gave and they helped keep the swelling in check. I lost a pants size from the TT.  But gained a size or two on top.  Now when shopping for a suit I have to find separates so I can get pants in a 6-8 and a jacket in a 10-12.  I need to find a pear shaped friend to shop with so we can exchange pieces.

I think you would have 'knew' if you had swelled. It ranges from 'very uncomfortable' to down-right painful. I wear the binders practically 24/7. I haven't worn the high-top undies much...mine extends to below the knee because of the thigh lift so it's a work-out to put them on. I do wear something similar on top though and it extends to past the hips...and then I wear the binder on top of it (cuts down on the itching!). The binder from the hospital was the 4 'rib' kind so it covers even the girl to the hips! Okay for when I am at home but the girls are lacking as it is without having them bound up too so I ordered a couple of them that only have 3 'rib's. I was wearing between an 8-12 pants...depending on style...before my TT/abdo/TL. I think I have all my 12's in a bag now for the next clothing exchange but it all depends on the swelling of the day on if I go with 10's or if I can go with something smaller.  How  long is the botox suppose to take? Maybe you could meet us at Max & Erma's too.  Sherri

Botox should only take 20 minutes or so.  I'll try to meet you at M & E's.

Sherri, I would say that the swelling is probably normal. Dr. B told me I would have swelling issues for probably the first year. Are you still wearing a compression garmet of some kind? I find when I am faithful and wear that 24/7 I don't swell as much. I would say that now I am pretty well "normal" whatever that is post op! lol I don't always wear my garmet on the weekend but do all week long wear one that is like a spanx and I love the feeling of support and protection it gives me. I am still wearing the same jeans that I did right after surgery even as my weight is a little higher now. When  i had surgery I lost about 17 pounds and then slowly gained most of it back but I like the way it came back! lol  it filled me in nicely and my middle looks normal.my scars are barely visable and my feeling is about 100% in the abdomen now. I am still looking to lost 10~20 pounds in the next year to give myself a goal and keep a range for my well being. Dr. B will know the answers to your questions so rest assured. Good morning all! Had a very busy weekend. Saturday I had to grade the EMT students final State exam practicals. Then went home and mowed my yard and cleaned up a wood pile from winter and burnt a bunch of the little pieces of wood. Then we went to the inlaws.  Sunday I had my great niece's birthday party, so went out to the inlaws again for that then went to my mom & dads. Now today I am back to work.  Not much else going on with me today.  Hope all you mothers had a wonderful mother's day. 

Happy belated Mother's Day!!! Hope you all had a wonderful Sunday, even though at times it felt like we were going to float away. Church yesterday was so nice, everyone is noticing how I'm losing weight already, only 2 1/2 weeks out! It was great being surrounded by their love and prayers.  Yesterday afternoon my husband and girls took me to Best Buy to pick out my gift...a new digital camera! Of course I wanted hot pink which is a special order, but it will be in on Thursday.  I can't wait! We got home to a dark house...no power from 5:30 to almost 8pm.  I can't go out to eat yet, so he picked up Pizza King for him and the girls and I ate cheese sticks...we dined by candlelight.

Today is laundry and house cleaning day...I am tired of the family room and playroom looking like a tornado blew through! Went to the Y this morning and cranked out 3 miles on the treadmill, so I'm feeling fantastic! I've now walked 30 miles since my surgery...can't wait to brag on that to Dr Evanson on the 29th.  My goal is to be up over 50 miles walked by then...
