Hi Holly!  I'm in Huntington, so not too far from you. 

I had my surgery through TEAM: Bariatrics in Goshen.  People are currently very happy with them from what I have read online.  Dr. Murphy seems to be the fav.  My surgeon was Dr. Stone who is no longer with TB - or even in practice from what I can find.  Scarry I know!  I loved the staff there, however something was wrong from the day I got my band.  I had trouble with food getting stuck in my throat and I would throw up alot (still do).  They also had a hard time accessing my port for fills/unfills.  I ended up with Dr. Curry in Cinci for a 2nd opinion and or HELP!  That ended up making TB mad I guess and at a routine appt. Dr. Stone informed me that the "Team" had decided to terminate me as a patient because they felt I had 'trust issues'.  They were right - but I had reason and I never questioned them or their abilities - I just took it upon myself to go see someone who might know a little more - I was Stone's first band. So anyway ... I think your closest band options are Goshen, Mishawaka, and Carmel that I know of. Please keep in touch.  I'm just about three years post op.  Even with all of the challenges I have had I would do it again in a second! Kari

Hi there! I am actually in Huntington ... so just about 1/2 hour from you.  I saw in the paper I believe of a church in Marion that is starting an open support group for people who have had bariatric surgery.  Know anything of this?

I feel a little alone in my journey - even being three years out with LapBand.  I've had some issues along they way ... #1 being terminated by my surgeons office (see profile if you are interested) and #2, connected to the previous, I have not been as successful with my weight loss as I had hoped and am exploring my options. I hope to talk to you soon.
