Gail Update

For those who hadn't seen my post....                                    Gail had an appointment with her PCP yesterday as a follow-up. He had put her on Lasix a few weeks ago. Her feet were swollen and he suspected that she was retaining fluids. Well..understandably, it made Gail want to drink water constantly...which she did. But still, she told me she had dry mouth all the time. While we were talking before her pcp appointment, she also told me that she was getting her B12 injection...that it was a week over-due ....because her pcp had been on vacation I think she said. So..the B12 could had explained a little bit of her 'blue-ness' the other day. When you have no energy, you tend to be more 'blue'. So...she went to the pcp thinking that she'd get her B12 and that would be about it. He listened to her heart and it was racing. After talking with her & learning of the 'dry mouth', he felt that the heart racing was because of her being dehydrated. He took her off the lasix and sent her to the ER to get some fluids. Once there, they did other testing as well. Gail had bacteria in her urine. So...they kept her overnight to get some bags of fluid & anti-biotics (after them having to stick her SIX times to get an IV going!). She just called me. She learned that they are going to keep her at least one more night. They want to be sure to get rid of that bacteria before they send her home. She's going to give me a call later tonight after she's had a chance to rest some. I'll let her know that you all are thinking about her.     Sherri ps..thank you Shanna...I edited it since Gail didn't get her eyes done..she just had fluids backed up to her eyeballs! LOL! Wouldn't you know it, I wrote 'Lasik' in four different posts!! Well..at least I was consistent! Consistently wrong, but consistent! LOL!

OMG! Gail, I am thinking of you....I would send you a ecard but the sytem that I am using won't let me (too, old) When Sherri said the Lasik, I thought you had Lasik surgery. LOL. I was thinking " When did she do that?" I was thinking poor Gail, One more thing to happen to her. Anyway.......I love you Gail, Get better soon:) Shanna

Oh NO!  Not my sweet Gail!  I so wish I was closer because  I would be right there in the hospital with her.  I just love Gail.  She's always thinking of everyone else besides herself.  What a precious friend she's become. Sherri, if you talk to her again, please let her know I love her and am praying for her.  I'll try to get a card out in the mail today.  I hate this for her but am glad she's going to feel much better. Sherri, thanks so much for the update on Gail!!! Sending her lots of get well wishes, hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery....she's always such a light on the boards, I hate hearing she's in the hospital. 

My prayers are going up for Gail while she is under the weather. She is such an angel as far as I am concerned. She is always there for all of us whenever she can help. She is a earth angel and I am so glad that she is ours. May God bless her now and forever.

Very best for Gail!!! When I ever get a headache now I just start sipping more... honestly I dont know if there is a worse feeling then dehydration... unless of course your bowels get into a kink.. heheh Get the rest while you can Gail!!!! Linda Kay

Praying for Gail. Which hospital is she in and do you have a phone number or room number?? I didn't even see your other post?????

Misty, I didn't think to ask her which hospital she was in. I will ask her tonight if she feels up to phone calls. She just sound so tired when I talked to her earlier. If she's up to the calls, I'll post her # then. Sherri
