I Did it

I wanted to let everyone know that I DID IT!!! I completed the Geist 5K yesterday in 43:08 finishing 1025 out of 1638 overall. I got the medal I was working so hard to get. I feel to be successful a person has to have a goal to work toward and I have accomplished that. I had set the goal of completing this 5K with the medal and reaching goal before my 56th birthday which will be on Wednesday.   I have succeeded in reaching 1/2 of that goal. This morning when I weighed I am 4/10 of a pound from my magic goal number, I virtually maintained this week head hunger and all. Oh so close. Oh well maybe next week. Just gives me another goal to work toward. I have also signed up for a half marathon in Fort Wayne on September 27 so that is only 4 months away to get ready to finish 13.1 miles. I have read that you need to be able to do an 18 min mile to complete this. I think I will be able to accomplish that. I have also signed up for next years mini. Now that I have accomplished one goal now it is time to start working on others.

Congratulations on accomplishing your goal!!! That is such an important thing that we sometimes forget~we all need goals and it is alright to make them small. That is how I do some of my goals. I start small and then I feel like I have accomplished one and that makes me more motivated.   Good Job     Good Job  Good Work  Running

Congratulations on your accomplishment.  It makes a person feel so good when they obtain a goal.  I need to get my butt motivated and get out and do something like that.
