Lurker Finally Posts!

Hello, everyone! I've been coming here for a while now, but am just now posting because I'm really to the point I need all of the great information and support that you all have to give! I have sort of been able to be in denial about the upcoming events, but they are getting too close! I'm a self pay Lap RNY with Dr. Huse. My surgery is scheduled for 6-11 at 8:30 am at Clarian. I have not been to support group meetings. I have my pre-op class scheduled a week from Tuesday and my pre-op testing a week from Wednesday.  My only child turns two a week from Friday. I'm a teacher and so very busy at school right now. But, the reality of the next three weeks if really starting to hit me! I'm happy to be posting here and introducing myself and can't wait to start updating you on my weight loss! Thanks, Anna

Welcome aboard, Anna!! We are so happy that you are here with us. We are a close bunch of Hoosiers Losers and soon to be losers. We love to share our experience, strength and hope with each other. We also like to laugh, cry, share and vent. When we have a question there is always soomeone who knows where you are from experience and there is always answers for you. We hope that you post often and share so we can get to know you and you get to know us. Good luck on your upcoming new and wonderful life. You have made a choice that is going to bring you so much happiness and joy you aren't going to believe it. Welcome to the board Anna, nice to meet you.  I am a preop so I understand the nerves.  I am waiting for insurance approval and hope to hear something really soon.  I intend to have the RNY at St Francis and look forward to hearing about your experiences.  I am relatively new to the board myself but have found the people here to be very friendly and helpful.   Jeannie

Hi Anna.....Welcome to the board. I am a Clarian patient also and my surgery is the same week as yours.!!!! Right now mine is tentativley scheduled for  June 13th but I am hoping to have it moved a couple days earlier so I can go to a banquet for my son the 13th evening!! Feel free to pm me anytime!!

Welcome to the Boards Anna,  I too was a Clarian Patients. The digs there were 5 star hotel, just wished I could of enjiyed it a little more. LOL Heck I even had an Earthquake there! My mom and Hubby says the food there was fantastic:) I am 4 and a half weeks out and down 22 pounds. Good Luck to you. Hope to see you at some of our events...Shanna

Welcome aboard the WLS love boat.  You will get love , support and answers to most of your post-op questions here. By the time school starts again you will be a healthier, happier energized bunny.      DEB

That's what I'm hoping for...it will make up for having to answer to 1,000 kids why I'm shrinking. Have to love teenagers, they just say what pops into their heads and won't hesitate to ask me, which is sort of good for the ego that they notice. Maybe I'll get a shirt made!  "Your teacher's stomach is now the size of an egg!" Shanna, I'm so very excited for you and your 100 lb loss, although I'm jealous that you were able to do over 80 of it on your own before WLS. That's HUGE! You should be so proud of yourself.
