need help findin....revision surgeon...RNY to DS....

howdy all!....i am lookin for a GOOD surgeon that does the revision from RNY to DS....i would prefer not to drive over 6 hours one way there....im in owensboro ky.....zip code is 42301....would appreciate any help u can give me with finding a surgeon that does this....THANKS! cheryl

Hey Cheryl,... I don't know where that is in KY, but since you posted here,... as far as I know, Dr. Margaret Inman in the only wls surgeon in Indiana who does DS. I don't know if she does revisions,... you would have to check that out.

Dr Mattar does revisions.. you can call his nurse at 317 275 6010 to ask any other questions her name is nancy. He is the director of clarien baritric center...

As of right now, Dr. Inman is the only one who does DS, and I know she's done revisions of rny to DS.  She's excellent, but her surgery schedule does go waaay out! 

thanks so much for the replies....i got a reply back from dr inmans office...she is no longer doing revisions from rny to ds....so looks like i will probably be going from rny to lap band...or just having my rny completely redone...thats the only two procedures my dr covered by my insurance is offering....at this point i would be excited to get either one i think

Yea the last RNY TO DS Surgery that Dr. Inman did was back a few months ago.  Not saying that she won't start doing it again, she probably is taking some time off from it, because it is an extremely hard surgery to do.  I also know that you could also have surgeons to transform your RNY to a Distal RNY, which would account for more malabsorbtion.  You can also come over to the DS forum, or go to DUODENALSWITCH.COM to see who is currently doing RNY to DS revisions near you.
