Good morning all. It's 6am and I'm up. Mike started his new job yesterday at Sears (in a different dept than I am). He has to be there at 7am, so I got up to make him coffee. I have to get the kids off to daycare and school. I'm not used to doing that! Doh.  Hope you all have a good day!

Good morning, Linda.  Glad to hear that Mike has a job now.  Jimmy is supposed to be going back to work in about 6 more weeks, so I can't wait.  I understand your plight tho! LOL Hope everyone has a great day today.  Today I get to work at the school with the girls.  Their last day is Friday, so I get to work today and tomorrow.  I so enjoy it, and I will gladly get to do it more next year as well, so that is always good to hear.   Then, tonight, I have a party and campout with several of my friends.  Jimmy was invited, but he has chose to stay home with the girls since they will still have to get on the bus for school in the morning.  I wish he was able to go, but he just doesnt want to.  That is all a part of the depression.......not wanting to socialize.  Hopefully this medicine that he is on will work soon.  We have a doctors appt. at 9 am, so maybe things will be better. Gotta get the girls on the bus and get ready myself.  Have a wonderful day and ttyl!
At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!

Good morning everyone! Back to the same old weekly routine.  I am glad the weekend is over though, it was just too hectic.  I was so busy yesterday I only got to eat supper. By then I was starving to death. I know its my fault, I should have stopped and made time to eat. I wont ever do that again. I was half sick by the time I did eat and then my pouch was being a grouch. Have meetings tonight at work so it will be a late night for me. Linda I am glad your hubby got back to work. That will be a big burden lifted. Lachelle have fun working at your girls school. I hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning everyone!                        I am really looking forward to today! Our IT guy will be coming over and we're going to start upgrading the CPU's & software for our lab equipment. I've never transferred a full hard drive's data over before so I'll definately be learning some new stuff. YAY! Each CPU is suppose to take ~4 hours. I have them set up on switcher boxes, 8 CPU's per box. With me helping him, we should be completely done and all by the end of the week. I love learning new stuff & new technology.                         Speaking of new technology....I had gotten a coupon/flier in the mail Saturday from Best Buys. I went ahead and got my new laptop yesterday. I got 10% off one item..of course, they wouldn't let it be the laptop! So..got 10% off the laptop bag. I also got it 18 months same as cash (norm is only 6 months). I'd been needing to upgrade for awhile so I finally took the big jump. Since you can have more than one profile on it, I got one with a 17" monitor so Bill can use it too. He has to go with black background/white lettering. It's still only 7.7 lbs. It's a HP, 250 GB memory, DVD/CD Writer, memory card slot, lots of USB slots. I want to clean up my old one's drive first. I'm giving it to Tiffany. Then I'll get started setting this one up. I'm not looking forward to Vista from all I've heard but we'll see. I'll be using Vista at work with these new CPU's so I might as well get use to it.                        Well.I do hope you all have a lovely day! Sherri

Good morning, Linda and all.  I have to go to the doctor at 1 p.m. today. It is just my pcp so it is going to be in and out of the office at least but can't say the same for the waiting room. lol She is without a doubt the slowest person I have ever seen. I am not sure what she does to make her so slow but she is at least consistent with that part!! I am still kind of looking around for a new doctor since I can't stand this one.  The sun is out and shinning so brightly. I guess today is going to be a lot like yesterday. It was a nice day but a bit on the chilly side. Even though Bill just went out and he told me that it was getting warm already but I don't feel any of that warm weather from where I am sitting. I am sooooo cold this morning. My hands and my feet are like ice cubes with fingers and toes.  Misty has been on my lap this morning but she didn't like the thought of sharing my lap with the laptop. lol She doesn't like sitting on me (either my lap or me as a mattress) anymore since I have lost weight. I guess I am not so soft anymore. lol She gets up on me and then off she gets. She seems to like sitting on Bill more now. Does that tell ya Bill's taken my place as the Serta Sleeper? She is now kitting and looking out over her back 40. I am not sure what she looks at all the time but there is something out there that gets her intrest. My bet is it is the birds flying around.  It felt so good being a vegetable yesterday. I didn't do much of anything at all and loved every minute of it!!! lol Bill went and played pool with his son and I just sat here watching Big Medicine and the Country Music Awards and playing my computer games. I am hooked on Pogo.com and their games. I have several of my favorites and I can sit for hours and play. OMG~I have become a computer junkie!!! lol Better get going. Linda, I am glad that Mike got a job. I know that takes a lot of stress off you. LaChelle, I am glad that you had a good week end. I can't beleive the girls are going to be out of school so soon. Our kids don't get out for a couple of weeks. Sherri, it sounds like you are going to enjoy work this week. I am so glad that things are going well for you at work. You must be getting use to being back there now. Are you still getting tired out? Lee Ann, I hope that your day is great. Jenny, sorry that tonight is going to be a long day for you. Remember to take care and get your food. It isn't good to wait so long. Can't say much more than that since I have a habit of doing that too. I hope that everyone has a wonderful day and nothing but good comes your way. I am sending my love and hugs to all and prayers are for everyone. Special ones are being said for those who need them and for Gail too. I am so glad that you are home now and hope that things go up for you. I know it feels better being home and in your own spot.

Brenda, I'm not one that enjoys having to read between the lines to figure out what the heck is going on. When I came back to work, my boss trying to be helpful and understanding assigned two tasks to me. One, setting up a catalog of our lab notebooks online. Easy to do but brain numbing to finish. We have ~200 notebooks and some of them have +50 projects in each..so alot of reading/typing. The authors didn't always name their projects in a way that someone 10 years later would understand what/why they did what they did so I end up having to read through the project to try to figure it out. There's 104 pages to each notebook.  Many of these pre-date me in our lab..and the process improved/changed...and too, people call different things by different names. One person doesn't refer to anything by the process (which we all usually do now-a-days) but by what filling was used in the columns at that time. So...here I am not learning anything useful..and not entirely sure I am calling things by the right name. The other project...I already had a lab model set up for a process. While I was gone, my boss decided to 'improve' on it. He totally changed the column configurations...and they don't work right. So..instead of going back to the way I had it which did work, he wants me to figure out a way to make his configuration to work. Unlike the lab notebooks, this one, the model is too heavy for me to really mess with alot so I've kinda been holding off on it. I'll probably start on it though once the CPU stuff is done.                       You definately get more worn out at work if you're bored or not enjoying what you're doing. I'm hoping that this extra knowledge with the CPU's will help pave the way into an IT position someday. My brain enjoys that kind of stimulation!!! Physically, this may be a little bit harder, but at least I'll be going home feeling like I've accomplished something!              Sherri

Good moring all:  My Monday started out with a rush as usuall and let up a little right now so I thought I'd check in before getting on with my work.  I have a short week this week.  Mon-tue-Wed. then We are off for Traverse City MI for the weekend.  Weather forcast look good.  Sherri good luck with Vitsa.  I have it on both my home PC and laptop and hate it.  Well for the most part I guess it isn't that bad but there are some things on it that I can't do (like listen to my  XM radio on line) that I could do with my old.  I know I can call and find out how to change some stting so it will work. I just never seem to have the time when I want to mess with it.  I'm not that good with change on my computer stuff.  Once I learn it I hate to change.  I'm kind of intimidated by some of it and wish I had someone that could show me.  May be I need one of those PC's for dummies books.   I'm upset with my weight right now. I've put on 10 pounds since christmas.  I'll fess up and admit I've not been good lately.  I can tolerate sugar in small amounts and that is one thing I've been cheating with.  I've also grazed too much on chips and crackers.  Plus I'm back to drinking about three cups of coffee in the morning. (regular too) I haven't been getting in enough protein and water.  I know what I'm doing wrong I just have to stop it.  I thought the first step would be to confess my sins to you all and commit my self to get back on track.   I had been on a plateu for so long that I told myself that I would give it a rest for a while then start in again when the weather got nice and I could be outside more.  Well that time has come.  I went to a support group meeting last week and one of the gals was talking about doing the 5 day pouch test to see it you have stretched your pouch.  I looked it up on line and I'm starting it today.  I don't think I've streched my pouch too much I think I just haven't been eating the right stuff or gettin enough exercise.  So with my gang all here for support I know I can get back on my horse and ride again!

Jan, I don't have Vista but Windows XP. I found a computer site that might be of help. It is called  The Computer Lady.com  and she sends out a weekly e-mail teaching you something. Right now she is teaching Vista. She is good and explains everything so that us dummies can figure it out. lol I thought that this might be of intrest to you. Check it out and see if it does. Let me know if you like it or not.
