Does anyone remember what their AC1 was when their Dr. put them on Metformin? Mine is 5.6 and she doesnt want to put me on anything. My old Dr put me on it at 5.1. What do you think?

My A1c is 5.2 and I am nothing for the diabetes. It is controlled with diet and exercise. Now my wl surgeon thought about me going on Metformin because he wanted my sugars below 90. I am not going to the endocrinologist anymore since I am doing so well. I figure why take something if my A1c is so low. Endocrinologists like them below 6. The American Diabetic Association like them at 6. So I figure it works why fix it and also if I should have been on something the Endocrinologist would have put me on something.
