Good morning everyone! I really didn't mean to be incognito yesterday. It was just a busy, busy day!  First, let me thank everyone for the wonderful Birthday wishes! Gail sweetie..thank you for ALL the ecards! LOL!!!!! Also for the snail card. Loved them all...especially the 'Mommy' one!   And my wonderful Secret Elf..thank you so much for the card and lovely gifts. It was very sweet of you.                 I had my appointment yesterday with the gastroenternist. He said I was an 'interesting' case. LOL! As if WE didn't know that, huh?!? Some of my symptoms would indicate that one thing is the problem but other symptoms would point to something entirely different. So...he ordered bloodwork and scheduled a scope for June 3rd. The scope...he's doing an endo so he can check out the upper part of my intestines since they hadn't been looked at yet. While I'm out, he'll also check the last little bit of my colon...no prep needed though this round. If the bloodwork & scopes doesn't point to anything specific, he's going to order some more tests. I go back to see him in 6 weeks. I think he plans to have one test done after another (if the results come back negative for each) so that when I do go back, he'll know something for sure. He also changed the anti-spasm med to one that is taken 4 times a day instead of twice...so hopefully, will get that under control better. It'd be nice if he could do the complete scopes without the intestines flopping around on him like they did with Dr. Gupta..lol.  So..while we didn't find out anything, it was a very encouraging visit since he does have some ideas and plans to stay right on it. We did discuss food/sweetner intollerences. Unfortunately, I have already tried omitting those things from my diet for at least 2 weeks at a time and saw no improvement durring that time. Oh..you all are going to love this...he said that MANY post-gastric bypasss patients have problems with diarrhea! I laughed and told him that I belong to a very large group of folks that had WLS and it is the opposite among our group. And what did he say? 'THAT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE STRICTLY ADHERING TO WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO DO!' How's that for a pat on the back guys? So whenever you find yourself , know that it is because you ARE doing what you are suppose to be doing!!! He usually sees people who aren't doing what they are suppose to be doing.                                                       I did have some very good luck yesterday at the med-lab. They were able to get the bloodwork drawn with only one stick! Woo-hoo!                          Bill usually takes me out to eat for my birthday...and usually to Red Lobster. Since we just went to Red Lobster for Mother's Day, we decided to go to Steak & Ale instead. Bill's mom Jean and her BF Bob joined us. The atmosphere was great. The food was terrific (guess what I'm having for lunch today..lol!). At the end of the meal, Bill & I had to go to the restroom. When we came back, we found out that Bob had paid the bill! So Bill got a birthday present too! LOL! I think they do steak & loster better than Red Lobster...and the price is about the same. Bob was impressed with how quick we got there since I took 465. He used to live on the southside (Jean & us live on the east side). He must have been taking 70 over..or Emerson. I heard him comment to Jean in the backseat of how quick we were getting there and she said 'yes, if you don't mind the interstate'. I take it she usually doesn't like 465..lol.                                         I'm not going to be able to meet anyone at Max & Erma's today. Dr. Bergman's office called Monday and switched my appointment to the 28th...still at 4:40. I guess she has to leave early today. So....Gail, lunch Friday? Annette...I'm sorry. I was really looking forward to seeing you!                   Jodi...How about Kohl's or Meijers? oh and girl...happy late Birthday yourself! Lot's of us May flowers, huh?                                Well..you all have a terrific day!                  Sherri

Happy Belated Birthday Sherri!! I'm a former Eastsider...we lived in Little Flower at 10th & Emerson for almost 10 years, and yes, 465 is loads quicker to get to the Southside than Emerson! Or Sherman, depending on where you are on the East side. Today is 4 weeks out, and I'm down 20 lbs exactly!!! Woohoo!!! Very excited this morning.  I've walked 47 miles since surgery, starting with my 2 in the hospital, so I think I'll hit my goal of 60 miles by my post op appointment next week.  Hubby got a new job yesterday, so he'll be starting that in the next week or so.  Our new dog is adapting pretty well...not sure I even mentioned it here, but we adopted a rescue puggle last Thursday night.  Annie is about 1 year old and doing quite well.

Just a quick hello before heading out for the day.  I have to have the car at the shop at 8, and then be at work before 9......wor****il 7 pm, and then head to the gym for a while before I have an employee sponsored health wellness checkup.  They are doing a complete physical and all the bloodwork today.....I can hardly wait!  Can't you tell the sarcasam in my typing! LOL By doing the wellness checkup, it will save me almost $500 on my insurance premiums that I pay at work!  I will gladly do that if it means to save money. Gotta go. Have a great day!
At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!

Good morning all! I posted yesterday that my ulcer pain is back again but for some reason it didnt show up only the headline.  It seems better today though cause I started back on my Prevacid. Anyway nothing much going on today. Im at work for a little while then I am going to my daughters school to watch her sing in the talent show.  I am eating my blueberry yogurt this morning. I already had a protein drink this morning around 6:30, so after my yogurt I will have 36 grams of protein in already today. I wondered where you were yesterday Sherri. I just hate those busy days. Well everyone have a great day.

Good morning, Indiana!!! Nothing much going on here today. The sun is so bright and it is beautiful today. Not like yesterday. It was so overcast yesterday. It looks like it is chilly out but I would't know since I haven't even stuck my head out the door yet this morning. lol I have to go in to get my bone density test this afternoon. I have to have a complete one since I am on the borderline for osteoporosis. That runs in my family. Most of the females in my family, including my mom and sister, have it. That is going to take most of my afternoon since the test takes so long and of course what would it be like if we didn't have to wait! lol I went and subbed at bunco yesterday and I was the winner of the booby prize and the floater too. So I paid $10 for the night and won $15 and a cute little gardner bag. It has little gardening tools in a bag that looks kind of like a beach bag type purse thingy. lol Don't you just love my descriptions? I hope that you could understand it. lol I had a lot of fun but I usually do when I sub with those girls. The woman who had it has a lot of birds. Most of them are in cages in the back bedroom and so that didn't bother me to much but then she had a BIG bird of some type in the living room and it wasn't in the cage either. I kept looking at it because if it started to wander away from the top of the cage I was going to dive bomb under the dining room table. I hate birds with a passion. I am terrified of them. One day I was at a friends house when we were in school and he had a big green bird and it was one mean thing too. It was flying all around the house and it pinned me in the corner and just kept flying around me. I was screaming and Eugene just laughed. He was mean as the dang bird if you ask me!!!! Ever since then I have been terrified of them. It isn't getting any better even after all these years. lol  They are suppose to be paving our road again today. This is the 3rd time that we had to move our cars and park somewhere else and they still haven't done anything. They are off doing other roads on time but they are just as stupid as rocks if you ask me. As my girlfriends mom use to say "If you put them all in a bag and dumped them out they would all come out at the same time". I never heard anything like before Evelyn use to say that. She had a lot of other saying too. I told Bill that if they don't do it today I am going to start getting mad since it was so hard to find somewhere to park them this time. It was easier the last 2 times but today they are suppose to be doing a lot more of the roads. I think this company must employ only crazy men. they sit around and look at the rain for 5 hours and then say that they can't do anything because it is wet. DUH!!!!! I guess they need a woman to tell them what to do since they can't seem to get it on their own. lol I better get going since I have gone on as usual. You are all shaking your heads and thinking "Does she ever stop?!" I guess the answer is no. lol I am sending you all love and hugs and prayers. Special ones are going up for those who need them. Have a wonderful day today and enjoy your life.

Good Morning everyone!

I have been missing in action. My real estate career is in full swing now. I had orientation all last week. I am now cut loose. This is pretty exciting for me. The only draw back is I don't make any money until a house sells. For right now we live off of my husbands income so we aren't hurting because we are used to one income anyways.

I am looking forward to the clothing exchange. I do want to thank everyone for letting me host it. This is something I love to do.

I am currently down 26 pounds. Its amazing how I lose more weight if I get all my protein in then when I don't get my protein in. My husband even sees this. It is still hard for me to get all my protein in if I don't have an Isopure RTD each day. So last week my husband bought me 10 of them. I drink one a day.

Hope everyone is doing good.

Take Care

Robin, I have a couple of questions for you?  1. When is the clothing exchange? 2. Where is the church at that it is in? If you could give me an address I would appreciate it. 3. What time is the exchange? Thanks so much.
