Update on Me

I haven't been able to be on hear (lurking) as much since the new job. It is going well but I'm lucky if I get on the boards once a week. Last Wed (May 21) was my one year sugeriversary. I saw my surgeon on tue the 20th he & I was very please with my progress. After staying at 200lbs for over 2.5 months I am in onederland and get this I'm at 190.8lbs!!! it has been over 20 years since I've weighed under 200Lbs! Now for the bad news my 1967 Mustang (birthday present to myself) got hit on Wed the 20th and I fell down the stairs at work, not how I envisioned celebrating my surgiversary. The really bad new no one will admit to hitting my car and the est. is over $1400. I haven't even  had the car for a month yet or paid the 1st payment. Oh well I have been trying to focus on the positive I have lost 153 pounds since surgery!!!! My surgeon said he thinks that I'm ready for Plastics anytime I want. I carried the majority of my weight  in my belly so the it hangs even more than it did all ready. It is causing me a lot of problems with my back. Not to mention it is really had to find clothes that fit, my hip and legs arn't big but I have a huge apron hanging over. I also wear a 16 in shirts but in pants a 24. Now all I have to do is win the lottery  lol. John my (BF) are having a rocky time right now so please pray for us. Happy Birthday to all & Welcome all Newcomers.

Cheryl, Congratulations on the wonderful job you have done with your WLS and your weight loss.  Way to go.  Sorry to hear about your car.  Hope you have insurance that will cover part of this.  Maybe all of us WLS losers should pool our money and buy a lottery ticket! HaHa.  We could then all get out plastic surgeries done.  Peg

Peggy, I love the idea about pooling $$ for lottery so we could all have sugery. It is too bad that insurance doesn't see that it is reconstruction not so much as cosmetic. Cheryl

Thank you Ellen, I can't wait  to see you at the campground again this year it was so fun last year. You are right about the plastics, I really need the reconstruction to futher my sucess. The apron hangs so much it really limits my mobility when excersizing ,it is starting to cause alot of back pain. Love Cheryl

Thank you, You have no idea how sick I was, I didn't know whether to puke or cry! My first car was a 69 and when I got rid of it I swore I would get another old Mustang. It took 23yrs and I really couldn't afford it with starting this new job I should of saved for alittle bit, but when opportunity knocks sometime you go for it. Things are a little tight and I'm just use to being cheap lol. Also I know plastics are going to be lots of $$$$ and I don't want to wait forever lol. Cheryl

Cheryl, My goodness girl! You are doing SO dang good! I'm thrilled for you. When you get rid of your apron, there just isn't going to be much left of you, is there???  I am so very happy for you! Have you chosen a plastic surgeon yet? Dr. Bergman in Carmel is VERY good. You may want to set up a consult with her. And if she can get the insurance to pay for it, she will! Alot of time, they'll pay for the apron...the skin between the belly button & pubic....but not any above the belly button. Any little bit would help, huh?                             I bet that grandbaby of yours is getting big. Isn't it funny how alot of men have so mu*****ommon with those little ones? It must be something in the air. Bill had gone through a spell about 3-4 weeks ago. Put me through pure hell. Now, he acts like that never happened...but I know better! Since then, I've noticed where several of the DH's on here have been a pain in the rear for their wives/gf's. I thought spring was suppose to bring out the romantic side. I think this year it's just bringing out the bull-headness! I sure hope that this passes quickly with John. You two have really been through alot together especially with all that with his roommate recently.                             Was your Mustang insured? It'd be good to at least be ablt to get her restored back to where she was.

I'm really hoping you (& John) are able to come over to Hope's KOA again this year. It'll be the 2nd weekend in August.

Many hugs!

Sherri

Hi Sherri, There is still plenty of me but you are right if it weren't for this huge apron I would really be happy. I haven't been to any plastic surgeon yet,  I need to start calling & setting appointments, but with work and everything else I just haven't taken the time.  I quess I won" know how expensive it will be until I take the plunge. Joey is really growing fast he is my baby linebacker Meghan said last night he is up to 20lbs and he is so long he is growing out of all his 6-9 month clothes. He also is working on his first tooth and loving baby food. Time flies!! On the Home front I will have to call you sometime. I could sure use an ear once in awhile. I think you are right about something in the air! I hope to be able to attend the clothing exchange & I am looking forward to the camping I will come up even if I can't stay the weekend. I do Have insurance I just haven't check yet to see what they will cover. So wish me luck, Just what I need another bill. Love Cheryl
