Well I was home yesterday and slept most of the day and evening.  It wasn't too bad, but man was the gass pains the worse thing ever!  Sorry if I have typos, this chair isn't very comfty! Any way I am glad it is over, I feeling ok except now I have a rash all over my entire stomach area and man does it itch!  I am waiting on a call back from the doctors office.  I have scratched some places to where it is bleeding!  I have had surgeries before and this didn't happen so I am not sure what is going on there! Also they forgot to send me home the levonx stuff that i knew nothing about and I swear it wasn't mentioned in my pre-op class or in my take home binder.  Hope I can find some one to give me these shots for the next 5 days.  My husband had to drive back and pick them up.  The sad art is.. we asked my nurse before we left, is there anything else.  Then when we get home she calls and says "oh you needed to take 6 of these home with you"  Nice huh! To be honest everyone was pretty nice, I wasn't too impressed with my day nurse though.  Oh well. Any way just checking in, can't wait for this week to be over with and I will feel like myself again!

Hi, sorry to hear about your rash, sounds really uncomfortable. I have a question for you, what is the levonx stuff, what is these shots you have to give yourself for 5 days? Haven't heard that one. I would be appreciate the info. Tracey

it is to prevent blood clots.  I just posted another post about that too.,  I know they said something about in my general seminar but nothing in my pre-op class.  Now did any one show me how to give them either!

Hi! I was banded back in March.  I didn't have a rash on my stomach but it did itch terribly.  I don't know what really caused it.  I was also broke out under my breast where they used adhesive.  I wonder if it is not some sort of sensitivity to a cleanser/antiseptic they may use.  I didn't have to take Lovenox home with me.  They made me give myself 2 shots in the hospital and that's all.  The lady in the next bed had to take hers home.  Each Doc is different in their requirements.  They really aren't too bad to give to yourself.  The needle does not hurt at all.  Good Luck with your band.   Hop over to the lapband forum occasionally....lots of good people there that usually post a problem before I have it!!!

Leanne congrats on getting home! Where is Lawnerce Township? My mother in law is a nurse and she might agree to come over and help you with the shots. don't feel like leaving the house?   Let me know where you are!                                                                     Michelle
