Help Help Help
Thanks Barb and Sherri, I really appreciate all who give of there time to come on and help me with this. I have to say I have been on the revision board and most are the rny patients and most of them are 6 years out and gaining the weight back. Not that lap band doesn't have a problem with weight gain back but I hear on the lap band board that if they fall off they can get a fill and get back to business. With the rny why it's a whole new surgery. I like sweets and ice cream but not a thing I have to have. My problem is chips dip, pizza, steak, speg. and so on. I went on the opti fast diet when Oprah went on it and did really well, lost about 65 pounds and the reason I did so well was because I was afraid of having a attack when you cheat. Can't really remember what that was but it kinda of sound like dumping and could risk surgery, so they told us. So there was no way I was going to cheat. But as the story goes you go back to eating real food and then the weight comes back. I will talk to Dr. Gupta and go from there, I really had finally set my mind on lap band and felt at peace with that, and now it's back up in the air again. Tracey
I have had direct contact with Dr. Gupta and Dr. Cacucci in connection with the Bariatric Center. I felt very comfortable and confident in their their knowledge of and ability to perform any WLS. You need to talk to Dr. Gupta and to god. I search for what is best for you. You and only you can make the best decision for you.
