Happy Saturday!!
I can't believe there is no Saturday posting yet today. Of course my computer is doing wacky things so maybe it is there and I just can't see if for some reason. I hope you all haven't posted because it is a beautiful day where you are and you are out there enjoying life. We had thunderstorms last night and a fair amount of rain but today the skies are blue with a few fair weather clouds. A bit breezy but nice and warm. Today will be a typing day for a good share of the day but I am also looking forward to doing some cleaning on the inside and then late afternoon my son and I are looking forward to working on the yard. I bought plants last weekend but haven't had the opportunity to get those planted so this afternoon will be planting day.
My weight loss had kind of stalled for the last couple of months so I went ahead and purchased my summer wardrobe. I had a ball selecting lots of cute capris, crop pants, tops, matching shoes, etc. I bought size 10- 12 pants and medium - large tops. Even though I really want to lose another 10 - 20 lbs I am comfortable where I am. I thought I would wait until late summer and start working on losing those extra pounds before I purchased my fall/winter wardrobe. Therefore I haven't been working on losing and in fact have gotten a bit careless about measuring my food though I am very careful to make sure I get in my protein, vitamins and water. Well for some reason my body has decided it is ready to lose again. My beautiful new clothes are getting to big!! The tops are fine but my pants are starting to look to big. My size 12 pants are at least 2 - 3 inches to big at the waistline and the seat of them is starting to look pretty droopy. Even the 10's I had on yesterday are starting to look a bit baggy. I know, what a problem to have. Right? It is just that I hate to spend more money on summer clothes. I think I will just try having them altered since the matching tops are still doing okay. So yesterday I decided to start working my tool again and seeing if I can lose those extra 10 or 20 pounds. Today I started a 3 day protein liquid plan. It is where you drink liquid protein shakes throughout the day - for me that usually means about 8 a day or so - to help decarb your body. I had let some carbs slip in - not a lot- by a few. So I will do this for 3 days and on the last day have a small protein filled meal for dinner on Monday. When I have done this in the past, I usually lose about 3 - 5 pounds. Caution -- this is not something for newbies to try. This is to decarb when you are further out and have let carbs slip back in or to recharge the weight loss if you have stalled for a month or so.
