How did you battle head hunger

I was also told in my nutrition class NO GUM, but however, I do chew gum. I am very careful only chew 1/2 a piece at a time and if I have a close call of it getting into the back of my mouth, OUT IT GOES!!! I thought they told us not to chew gum because we could swallow air as well as swallowing the gum and it has to be surgically removed if you swallow it. I am 10 1/2 months from surgery and did not start chewing gum until month 8. As far as what to do with head hunger I wish I had the answer. I am so close to my goal, I want to lose about 6 more (140) and then STAY there but staying there is the big problem. This last week I put back on 1 1/2 which is not a lot but I am now at 146 and 145 was my absolute top number that I wanted to be at. I do have a normal BMI and am doing things I never dreamed possible. Yesterday I did a 10K walk/run. I finished in 1 hour 40 min for a 16:07 pace. Of course I was dead tired when I finished which by the way I wasn't dead last either. Was 125/128!!!! I think I also let myself get dehydrated because I felt awful until I got rehydrated about 2 hours later. So as a caution drink, drink, drink,  which is what I thought I was doing. In that 6 miles I consumed about 24 ounces and I guess that wasn't enough.

Kim, I have had some "head hunger" I try to just to some walking and avoid the kitchen !!! I to was told to chew gum but I kept bitting my month. Sometimes I do pop in a tic-tac, But I know thats not a good thing to do. I do not get hunger pains, I have to remind "me" to eat. I know I haven't been very helpful. But, i am here for support. Call me any time, we can talk it out. Hugs, Love and Blessings, Gail
