Sugar question- (fruit sugar)
O.k. So the basic rule is sugar general makes you dump, and is just a plain no no. Cool, no problem. But they tell you that you can add fruit to protien shakes, etc.
So my question is this... is natural sugar found in fruit o.k. and its just procced sugar that's a no no?
My brain is telling me that sugar is sugar but there is a lots of fruit recipes in the Baratric Eating Cook books I have. ( Even ones St. V's gives out)
Thanks for any clarifications!

Kim, My book that I got in my Nutrition class says Natural sugar found in fruit and mild should not cause dumping syndrome. Watch out for foods ending in -ose, its a form of sugar. Examples sucrose (table sugar), fructose(honey), dextrose. also corn syrup, corn solids, high fructose corn syrup. Says artificial sweetners should not cause Dumping Syndrome. On my part so far, I don't think I am one that will get Dumping, which really isn't good. I was at a rodeo last weekend and I drank a gatorade.. didn't bother me at all. In some ways, I wi**** would have...lol. Hope this helps. I"m no expert my any means...lol
Here's a good site that lists all the sugars/sweetners, what they are, etc.:
