Surgery...again

Has anyone else ever had to have a port revision? My port flipped and I go in for surgery tomorrow to get it flipped back over and hopefully grounded somehow! Let me hear from ya!

Oh no! Sorry to hear your port flipped. I don't personally know anyone who's had a port revision, but have read about it on the lap band board. From what I've heard, it's not as bad as the original surgery, but is sore where the port is fixed. Thankfully, the surgeon shouldn't have to go into your abdomen or pump you full of air, so you shouldn't have all the gas pains, etc. I don't know about you, but my port incision was sore about 2 weeks after surgery ... I imagine it'll feel like that again. Ask your surgeon if he intends to stitch it down to the abdominal muscles ... I know mine did, he said that reduces the chance of a flip. Good luck!!
