1. If I don't like something, I have the right to say so. I do NOT have to be the typical jolly fat lady!     2.  Well..my grandpa was suppose to have been drunk when my mom went into labor..and yep, on Sherry Wine. Lynn is the only southern name that would go well with it. So I am Sherri Lynn and the  wonder really is that my name got spelled with an 'i' instead of 'y'.                            3.  I have always told two things to my kids as they grew up: Don't sweat the small stuff...and..To thine ownself, be true. Recently, I saw as a signature line of a co-worker that I decided to adopt as well: Never allow someone to be our Priority while allowing yourself to be their Option.              Jodi..great idea and congrats on being c-free!! Woo-hoo!

1.  It has only been 1 month since my surgery, but I have learned that I do lean on my family for support more than I thought I did.  I also have learned that "strangers" can become some of your very best friends and support. 2.  I am named after my mom's best friend, and my beautiful, kind, and loving grandma.  Lucky me! 3.  I struggled with some medical decisions that had to be made with my kids.  I am the kind of person *****ally weighs the pros and cons, buy this was my kids and I just wanted to do right by them.  Then the doctor I work for gave me the best advice, and whenever I fret about decisions it is what I remind myself.....You have to make the best decision you can with the information you have at the time.  And you can never look back because you know in your heart of hearts that you were trying to do the right thing. I think this is a great idea by the way!  And the Big Boned thing...I get that too.  I guess they forget that I was a size 7 when I was 16. Kim

I am named after my Mom and dads friends son Shane. They really like Shane, so I am Shanna Lynn ( don't know why the 2 n's though) No one says it correctly Sha (long a) nna. Esp. because I went to Anna High school in Anna Ohio. But if I was going to be a boy I was going to be Brian. I don't get that one, 3. 1.  I don't just have  a "pretty face," the rest of me is starting to look damned good! 2. My grandpa Jack died while my mom was pregnant with me, but they didn't like the name Jackie ... therefore I'm Jessica.  But the better story is that I was conceived in a tree.  My parents were pot-smoking hippies.  Maybe that's why I'm so short? 3. We can only control, and therefore take responsibility of, our own actions.  We can not control anyone else, and we are not responsible for their mistakes or their happiness.

Congrats Jodi on killing that @^%(&$ cancer!  You are my hero. 1.Post Op Only What new thing have you found out about yourself that you didn't know before since having WLS. There is more to life than what is for the next meal. 2. Where you named after anyone famous or a family member? In otherwords, is there a story to your name? My sister was a big Mickey Mouse Club fan...so I am named for Annette Funicello. 3.What's the one advice (non WLS related) that you try to pass on to others? You don't always have to be a lady, but you should always be a gentleman.

What a great idea.   Thank you for starting it. 1.  I have had a weight problem that was worse than I thought it was all of my life except a short periad in high school. 2.  My family argued over my name.  My mom named me in the delivery room.  They used to do birth certificates at the hospital.  She named me after a little girl in her neighborhood.  She had a childhood memory of the girl's mother yelling for her to come home. 3.  Those friends from your teenage years don't mean a hill of beans when you get out in the world.

Good idea Jodi.  BTW Congrats on the good news you passed along in the other post.  That is AWESOME! 1. I'm not as shy as I used to be.  Guess that is due to more self confidence. 2. I was named after my mothers fav aunt.  The most difficult part of my name is it is just JAN, not Janet, Janice , Jannelle etc...  Everyone wants to make it more that it is.  Funny thing is my DH is just TIM , not Timothy.  Guess our parents wanted to make it easy and short for us. 3.  Advice:  Do unto others.  I always try to treat others like I'd like to be treated or how I'd like to see my family treated.  It isn't always the easy thing to do.

1.Post Op Only What new thing have you found out about yourself that you didn't know before since having WLS. I don't have to smoke a cigarette to get rid of the stress...like Jacqui...SEX is a great substitute! (skinny sex is great) 2. Where you named after anyone famous or a family member? In otherwords, is there a story to your name? Well I was named after my mom's friend from high school cause she  liked how Janene was spelled...my middle name was after my mom's friend..also because of the spelling....Lea (LEE)....my dad wanted to  name me Lillie Lea...after my great-grandmother and my mom's friend...thank goodness for Janene!  LOL 3.What's the one advice (non WLS related) that you try to pass on to others? Love isn't something that you say...its something that you do...Saying I love you..or Love you...or Luv ya Bunches...can be said out of habit....Always SHOW others how much you love them...a caress...hug...kiss..touch ...shows people just how much you do love them.

Lord, keep me in your will so I won't be in your way.

2) Sherri was always my mothers favorite name.  She named her doll that when she was a child, and then her first born. 3)I don't give much advice, except to my son, and I try to teach him to be a gentleman and not act like his dad!
