Not quite Friday yet...(thursdays close)

Good Morning yall! I am up thanks to Bella, I need to go back to bed. I have to drop Ty at football from 10-1 today and then off to work at 3:00. I want to make it to the gym today, I am a bit sore though. I started on weights yesterday. (ouchie) My weightloss is a little slower than I like so I am hoping to jump start it. Have a great day and its going to be a warm one. Maybe the pool is one my mind today....Hmm. Bought a new swimsuit the other day ( size 14) cutie brown and blue polka dots.  xoxo Shanna

Good Morning!!  I was thinking of going to a few garage sales but then I got up so late this morning...I was thinking of working harder on my weightloss... while I honestly do not want to start a compitition with Melissa on weightloss.. I do not want to go up while she is quickly loosing.. Her surgery is in 1 week (bless her heart).. Maybe if I just start doing what I am supossed to be doing...Linda Kay

Just a quick Hi before heading off for my MRI's /tests today. I have been singing "If I only had a brain"- gotta keep my warped sense of humor about this.  ALOT going on lately, grandson graduating WOO~HOO! (we got caught in that storm- what a scary mess!) ; the party & clean up, the grandkids/babysitting; work, etc. Just go, go , go!!Had a good turnout, made too much food, & sent leftovers home/took them to work, so no waste there. During our joyous time of celebration we got a call- one of our old friends ( Dana grew up with them & we hung out for yrs. /raised our kids together) had some terrible news. The son had killed himslef.He had just finished basic training, gotten married, & didn't want to go to Iraq. (His Dad had committed suicide when he was 13- oh Lord, what heartache this family has endured.) Oh,our hearts have been breaking for all of them. We'll be going to the funeral on Sat. Please keep them in your prayers. Well, got to get ready, so I'll check in with you all later. ((((((hugs)))))) Ellen

TGIT.  Friday can't be here soon enough.  I'm just beat today.  We had the tree people come yesterday and take out two big maples and a pine that weren't doing well.  They took the brush but left us the rest of the wood for firewood.  After work last night my DH and I cut up the limbs into managble pieces and stacked them in the barn to dry.  The really big chunks we took down by the pond to dry and just stacked them around our fire ring to roll into the fire. Thank goodness we had a tractor with a bucket or we wouldn't have been able to do it.  We finished at 10 and went in and had a lite dinner and shower and hit the sack.  I was so tired I didn't even hear the storm roll through this morning.   We've been lucky up here and have not had as bad of storms as you have had around Indy.   Ellen that is just tragic about that young man.  I can't even imagine the state of mind he'd have to be in to do that.  Hope you are doing better.  Are you planning on going to Hope's in Aug for the camp out?

Good morning everyone!                 The dentist cleaning went fine yesterday except she couldn't recent my bridge yesterday. So...I have to take off early tomorrow to have it done. HOPEFULLY she can get it off in 1 piece because a new one is estimated at $3800! The 'new & improved' insurance MIGHT cover $800 of it. Pre-January 08? $3040 of it would had been covered. Grrrrrrrr! So..I am really, really hoping it comes off the rest of the way easily.                        Bill has an eye appointment today so it's another day of taking off early. Not much though. Only about 45 minutes.                        Ellen...good luck today! I hope your tests shows what is going on (not like mine does!!).                         Gail...get your mind off stuff today! I know! Have Michelle pick you up some hard ripe apples (alot of them). It doesn't really matter what kind but without adding any sweetner (just cinnamon), I like Red Delicious.Core & slice them, then put them in zip-lock bags & put them in the fridge. I'll pick them up after lunch tomorrow & I'll get them dehydrated for you this weekend. You will be amazed at how much that can clear your mind of everything. Good Mornin' Posse! Well Thursday it is....and its gonna be a hottie! Hope y'all down there in Southern Indiana made it thru all the storms last night.  Today is turn on the AC day and do some work day. yesterday I was lazy and didn't do any work. Boss is gonna fire me...LOL Last night I started walking again...Mark and I walked about 1/2 mile. My feet have really been hurting me since the last time I did the 1/2 mile thing and so no they finally are feeling better to where I don't have too much of a limp. They hurt so bad I couldn't even get my walking shoes on...and no way was I gonna walk in my flip flops...soooooooo was just holding off the walking too much till they felt better...It felt soooooooooo good to get out and walk. I love our little town and hopefully I can get to where I can walk the 3 blocks to downtown...but I don't know..BIG HILLS...and my knees will give me fits!  Sure don't wanna fall down and roll down the hills...LOL  Mark did tell me he would get a little red wagon and give me a push down the hill....LOL the scales are not moving...but the clothes are falling off me. So reckon the inches are going. But I wanna see the scales moving down!  LOL  PATIENCE is not a virtue God gave me. Y'all be safe in your endeavors today. Good Thursday morning to everyone. We had some doosey weather last night tool. We had a tornado watch until 1 a.m. They were saying that we would get winds of about 60-70 m.p.h. Don't ask me if we did since I went to bed and promptly fell asleep. lol I do know that we got a lot of rain since there is big massive puddles everywhere. When I went to sleep it was thundering and lightning. That is all I remember. Sometimes bliss is good! I do so love to sleep through a good thunderstorm. They are so relaxing to me. Today is Bill's 52nd birthday. I got him a bit of stuff last night but nothing much since he got his jamongous grill. He was happy so that made me happy. His brother called from Tennessee at 7 this mornig. It sounded like he just got out of bed. He asked if we were up and I told him yes. He seemed surprised. I am so glad that he remembered Bill's birthday. I just know that his son won't call him today. He would have to get his head out of his a$$ for a minute to do that. I have had my fill of him and I have made no bones about letting Bill know that either. He is getting to the same point too.

Tonight is my support group meeting for wls. I think I might go but a lot of it depends on the weather. If it is bad then I am staying home in my own little cozy abode. I don't like driving in the rain since I had bad car accident in the rain years ago. I think it is just an open forum tonight instead of a topic. Not to much going on here in the church office today. I may finish up the Sunday bulletin or I may wait until tomorrow. I just had a visitor who had to make copies for her financial things. She didn't stay long. Yesterday wasn't busy and today sounds like it is going to be a repeat of yesterday. Tomorrow is my last day. I am going to miss it since I like getting out and dealing with the public. What makes it so nice here is I know everyone and they are like family to me. We have just a small church with only about 125 members and then of course the regular friends of the church too. We all know each other and I like that. I went to a bigger church for Lay Speaker School and it is so big that they don't even know who all goes there. There was a few people in my class that was surprised that they went to the same church. I just couldn't get into that. But then again I have been coming here since I was just a small child.  I guess I better get going. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are being sent up. Special ones for those need them. Good morning everyone We had 2 days of storms down this way . My son works at walmart on nite shift  he worked half the nite by flashlight,up here 5 mins away we had electric. So far only minor damage reported. Sons cant wait to get in the pool today,im still sitting on the sidelines.lol Ellen good luck on your test and im so sorry about your family friend. everyone have a great day and stay cool

Good afternoon everyone.  We just got home from a wonderful weekend in New Harmony.  I tried posting early this morning, but wasn't able to from the Inn's lobby.  Oh well.  It was well worth the drive and the experience. If anyone ever needs time away to reflect on their lives, that is the place to go. Not much else going on today.....just a committee meeting for Relay for Life this evening.  I am excited!  Just one more week!   Have a great day, and I will post pictures ASAP!
