Good morning all. Hope everyone is safe and dry after all the flooding yesterday in Central IN.  We missed out on all the rain.   Not much going on today, just going to work as always.  I just found out that in a few weeks, I will be going to swing shift.  Meaning, I will be working nights instead of days.  That may be a good thing, because I may be able to meet up with everyone more often if thats the case.  Also, I will be earning almost twice as much money for doing the same thing!  I can't pass us the opportunity to make more money, especially when I really need to try to support my family any way possible. Once I find out exactly when I will be going to swing, I will make sure to post it. Have a great day. Gotta run! TTYL

Good morning all! Not alot planned today except my son is coming over. Bill wants to wash/wax the RV. He's got a cleaner w/wax that you spray on and let it set a few minutes..then you buff it dry..Jay will be doing the buffing. After that, I'm having him start digging me out a garden. My starts are doing very well (in my ~6'x8' flower bed) and it's about time for them to get thinned out some. He's used to digging me 8 holes for 8 tomatoe plants. This year, I need a whole freaking garden!  LOL! I did seeds as well as plants...and I did ALOT, knowing I can dehydrate the veggies & enjoy them all next winter. So..if they all do well, I'll have LOTS of tomatoes, eggplant, yellow summer squash, zuccinni, cucumbers, and bell peppers (green & yellow). In my other flower bed, I turned it into an herb garden. It's doing pretty good too...especially the dill! I plan to dehydrate alot of those for the winter use as well. (Gail...I have the apples all sliced up. And no sweetie, they aren't all for you. I really enjoy them too! LOL! I do have 2 containers for them though. One has sweetner added, the other just has cinnamon. I DO call that one 'Gail's apples'. LOL!).                            LaChelle..if it were me, I'd want to work evenings all the time at a casino! I would guess that the better tippers would be there then. The perfect shift would probably be what..8pm to 4 am. I really doubt that is a 'shift'. But it'd be a nice one $-wise, huh? Especially for tips! During the day, my guess, would be mainly little ole ladies wanting to put a roll of pennies into the slots. Hehehe...I know that in Vegas, it seems like they are packed in those evening hours.Enjoy it!                                              Ellen...I'm thinking about you today kiddo. I know it was pretty rough. He's in God's hands now and out of his suffering. The toughest funeral I've ever been to was one for a friend of Tiffany's. She was only 11 and choked to death on Good Friday on a toy (one of those little pegs that goes with a game..the kind that looks like a golf tee). That was the same year that my ex'es grandmother and my oldest sister had died. That little girl's funeral was the hardest on all of us of the three. We came home and my ex broke down and I asked him what was wrong. He just pointed to my entertainment center with glass doors. There in the middle of it was the handprint of Yvonne. She had just went home from staying a week at our house the day before she died. It's little things like that which is going to be hard. Time does help though. I'm glad that your friend's death is serving to teach others about depressing. I truly believe that no life..and no death..should be in vain. I hope it's a comfort to his loved ones to know that his death wasn't..that others will be more inclined to seek help because of him.                                Gail..how are you doing today sweetie? Call me if you want to talk..k?                         Well all..have a super-duper day today! I know I'm planning on enjoying the rain-free outdoors today!!                   Sherri

Happy Sunday to everyone. I hope that it is a good and also a dry one from what I understand.  It is sunny and beautiful this morning here in NW IN. but for how long I am not for sure. We did have a warning on some bad weather here last night but thank God it went out over the lake and missed us for the most part. There was a bad storm/storms last night that started in Chicago and came through the Gary/Miller area. They were not sure last night if it was one or several. The funnel clouds were on the ground for a long time and some thought it was one but there could have been more. We did get some rain but the bad bad stuff went over Lake Michigan. That was a close one for sure. They are calling for rain all week though. Bill wanted to do some fishing this week but according to the weather last night the 5 day forecast is rain. Needless to say he was not a happy boy! Today is another cook out for us. Are we at all surprised? I am not!! He is a grilling fool in the summer and more so on his vacations. Today is hot dogs. That does surprise me though. He usually doesn't care for them to much. He wants them today. lol I told him that I would make hot dog sauce just like my mom use to make. That even made him happier. lol So that is what is in store for me today. Now I just have to figure out what to do with them. lol That is the hardest part of a meal. Neither one of us eat to much in the summer. Now I don't for sure!!!! Gee~I wonder what tomorrow is going to be? I suppose I shouldn't complain since I am getting out of a lot of cooking. I didn't go to the store yesterday so I am going today. Bill just didn't really feel up to going. He asked if we could go today and I told him that was alright with me. I didn't really want to go either. But then again I use to love to go grocery shopping but not anymore. The prices have gone up so much that it isn't any fun anymore. Gas went up again. Are we surprised by that one? They lowered the price the other day for about 1 day to $3.99. I told Bill that they will be hitting us with another increase in a day or so and sure enough it happened. I call them lower prices for a day or so a false lull before they hit with the big one!! Now it is back up to $3.09. At least that is better than it was before it went down this last time. Heaven only knows what it is now though. lol That can be anyones guess these days.  Well, I guess I had better get scooting. I have things to do and places to go (like the grocery! haha!). I hope that everyone enjoys their day today. I am sending love and hugs to everyone. Prayers are being said and special ones for those in need.

Hi all, Not much going on today, took a walk this morning before it got too hot.  Then sat in front of our local Best Buy one hour before opening, in line for a Wii Fit ... and was rewarded, got to bring one home!  I just spent 2 hours playing with it.  It's a lot of fun, with balance games, strength, yoga and aerobics.  I figure it'll add some variety to my exercise options.  Now my husband and I are getting ready to head down to Danville and take his kids out to dinner.  They're leaving with their mom to Florida next week.  We'll probably take them to the Red Robin near Metropolis mall in Plainfield.  Hope all are cool and dry today. Hi Everyone,   Isn't it wonderful to see the sunshine? Smiley SunglassesYea!!!!! I got out & cut alot of my peonies today & my house smells wonderful! I love to see my garden in bloom- no veggies -yet. We may put out a few tomato plants but since I have so much trouble with raw veggies, we will go to our friends stand & get small batches when we want them. Plus, no extra weeding- hee~hee! i use to can my own veggies- no more. With just the 2 of us, it isn't worth all the effort & mess!I still freeze alittle green beans & corn, but otherwise, I'm getting mine from the store. We got 6 " of rain in the past 2 days & lots of tree damamge around town. We were lucky there- even though our big blue spruce was bent at a 45 degree angle during the 70-80 mi. winds. The yard is one muddy mess, so no weed pulling today- plus, it is too dang hot!!!  Sweaty  Sprinkler Only good thing about it is the grandkids can play in the sprinkler- some days I wish I could, too!I just don't want to get burned or fall! I'll sit in the shade & watch them while sipping on my water. Today has been a much better day- I am back on track and feeling good. It is really nice to know I am doing the right things now, and sticking to it! Each day has its own set of challanges, but getting the right foods for myslef is the start. I walked over 2 miles yesturday, & plan on walking again after the sun goes down. Hopefully the breeze will stick around.  We grow asparagus, so tonight I'm making asparagus & cheese omlets-yum!! High in protien, light and filling! I have been digging out my reciepes and seeing what I can fix that is satisfying and high in protien. I am glad I found those EDY's SF.juice bars,- they help satisfy the "sweet tooth". Gail & Tina, sending you ((((((((((((( Good Luck  Get Well Soon       hugs))))))))))))) & saying prayers your surgeries all go well and you feel 100% better soon! Well, have a great day, enjoy the beauty of it, & know I am thinking of you! (((((hugs))))) Ellen
