Gail update

Surgery had started early and Dr. Huse just came out. The belly button hernia is all fixed up. She didn't have any internal ones (yeah!). We don't know if she's bruised up from the IV or not yet. Usually, she is. This time though, we talked with the doc who put her out and he agreed to knock her out with gas...and THEN start the IV (the blood vessels dilate better when you're knocked out).  For me, this always helps them to get an IV going in ONE time instad of six or more. Anyway, she should be home and tucked in her own bed by noon. I have an appointment with Dr. Gupta at 9:30. I'll be seeing Gail when I get out of there..hopefully (if she isn't discharged before I get back over here to Entrance 5 that is).   Thank you everyone for all of your prayers.   Sherri

Sherri,  Thanks for checking on our dear Gail- please give her a (((hug))) from me. I know she will be relieved to know it wasn't as serious as they thought!  I hope all goes well with your Drs. appt!!!! Call me ,ok? I know it is going to be a good one, you are doing great! Love you,

Thanks so much, Sherri, for being so fast to update us on Gail. I amso glad that things went well and there is no internal hernias to worry about. I am keeping her in my prayers and please let her know that I am sending her tons of love and tons of gentle hugs to her.  Have a wonderful doctor appointment. I hope and pray that everything goes well with you. Keep us posted on yourself as well. You remain in my prayers also~as always.

My Dear Gail,   I hope you are feeling better, You are on my prayer lists (along with alot of thers...ie, flood ) I am so sorry I cannot send ecards out because I am using my old crappy computer...8 years old and doesn't work well enough...to slow. I hope you have a speedy recovery! Love SHanna

Sherri, I'm glad to hear that Gail is doing well.  I have trouble with IV's too and they put one in and didn't get my vein, so they tried again and got it, but when I woke up it had been moved a couple more times because it was in a different place and I saw another place they had punctured. Please tell Gail when you talk to her that I am thinking of her and glad that it wasn't worse.  Dr. Huse is good though. I hope your appt. went well with your Dr. today also.  Let me know how it turned out. Candy
