Good morning all....                            I talked with Gail last night and she was doing really well. She'll probably be on here today sometime.                                     My appointment with Dr. Gupta didn't go fantastic yesterday. I have been having a feeling that all was not well in the tummy area for a few weeks now. After her examining me yesterday, she also doesn't feel that all is quite right. She ordered a cat scan which I had done yesterday afternoon. She should be giving me a call today or tomorrow with the results. It APPEARS that the hernia may have returned. We'll know more after she gets the results. I'll let you all know what's up after I talk with her. I can't really think of anything that may have caused the mesh to fail. Lord knows it wasn't from straining to ! The failure (if it is a failure) could account for the +5" of swelling I get in my stomach during the course of a day (it Definately is NOT because of the Tummy Tuck/abdo..I got that from Dr. Bergman as well as Dr. Gupta now). Anyway, I'll let you know after I know.             I think after the rain stops, it's suppose to be nice through Thursday night. It'd be nice to not hear any boom-boom's...huh?                                                 You all have a good day!   Sherri

Good morning all! Sherri~ I hope they can get to the bottom of this and get you all fixed up. That just stinks! Nothing much going on with me, just at work. We had a heck of a storm last night. Albany got hit with wind pretty hard. It blew several trees down and big limbs. Closed some roads until they could get the trees moved. It blew a trampoline into the EMS stations yard. The owner must have found it cause its gone now.  Knocked the power out for a short time.  It hit our dispatch center and caused them to not be able to receive calls via phone which is bad. If someone needed an ambulance, police, fire they were out of luck.  Hopefully they knew to just call the station directly if needed. But luckily it was only down for about 1/2 hr. and all better now.  I hope these storms are done for awhile now. I hope everyone is ok from all the storms and hopefully we dont have anymore victims from flooding. Everyone hang in there! Have a good day all

Good morning all.  A quite day here today, just work as always.  We finally got some rain, of course we have been expecting the flooding for days now with all that was to the north of us.  I certainly hope that everyone North of us does get the help and support they need.  I am sure that FEMA will be there soon.   Nothing else much going on today.  Today is the only day I wor****il Sunday now.  I have my relay for life stuff going on now, so I am just waiting for this day to be over.  Tomorrow if it is nice, DH and I are going to play golf.  I can't believe that I actually was able to talk him into it.  Now, if he actually will go with me, that will be the miracle! LOL Time to get ready. Have a great day! TTYL

Darn it Sherri, If nothing else you are an inspiration to newbies that there can be problems with surgery but with a good attitude, education and friends you can hold your head up and move forward!! It is just a darn shame all the inspriation and education has to come from just one person (you) (actually, you and Gail). You are a wonderful poster child for how to deal with adversity and survive!! God Bless you always as he really seems to be in your corner!! I honestly don't know how anyone could go thru  what you do, without faith. No wonder y ou ad Gail are such great buddies... You both seem to be survivors!!! Thank God for us!!! You two have been thru so  much all we have to do is see how you solved a problem... Linda Kay

Good Tuesday Morning Everyone  Gail its so nice to see you up and moving this morning, you such an inspiration for those of us who want to whine about things in our lives. Sherri I am really sorry to hear of your complications.  I pray for the very best of outcomes for you.  I love your attitude about things especially since I am a pre op person! I havent been able to post on our daily thread for a few days cause I had my Grandkids at my feet.  I took them home Sunday, I already miss them.  We had sort of a rough time together, the oldest girl had an asthma attack on Sunday night , an ear infection on Wed and poison ivy in her eyes on Saturday.  Lucky for all of us the little local pharmacy opened for the hospital patients to come over and their prescriptions.  This was during our state of emergency time. My best friend is coming to visit me this weekend , she lives in Detroit.  She is going to bring her neices and nephews so I hope the rain holds off.  I love to have company cause it forces me to do the deep cleaning of my house once in awhile lol.  Needless to say that is how I will spend my day today cleaning house and getting a load of laundry washed.  I have made the spare bedroom my sewing room so I have to change things around up there and make room to sit the bed back up.  Sure glad my son is out of school and at home so he can help me. I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday Jeannie

Good morning to all! Just think according to the weather it is suppose to be done raining until Thursday evening.  Sun That is something none of us has seen much of lately. If we have it sure didn't last long! I am praying for all who have damage from all the rain. Linda, you remain in my prayers for your devastation. Gail and Sherri, my prayers continue for you both. I am so happy that you are doing well so far, Gail. Just remember to take care of yourself and don't overdo. Just rest and get your protein and water. Sherri, I just don' know what to say. It seems like if it is going to happen it will happen to you. I am so sorry and I pray that everyone is mistaken and it ends up being a easy fix for you.  LaChelle, I am walking in the Relay for Life next week end for my cousin's team. He is fighting pancreatic cancer and his wife has put a team together. Ella and I are walking together at 4 a.m. on Saturday morning. I told Roberta that if she needs me to do more just let me know. I will be checking in off and on during the day with her. I told Johnny (my cousin) that we are in this fight together and we have to stick together. So really I had no other choice but to walk since it is going to help get rid of what we are fighting as a family.  Ellen, you are such an inspiration. You know what you have to do and you jump in and do it. That let's all of us know that it is something that we all need to do with everything in our lives. Thanks so much for being Ellen. Jenny, have a good day. I hope that your not to busy at work today. How is your daughter doing? Better I hope. Well, Kim, today is your day. I am sending prayers your way. I pray that you have a easy surgery today and a speedy and pain free reecovery. Welcome to the bench girl! Jeannie, it sounds like you are having a busy time getting ready for your company. Sometimes that helps the time go by faster. I like having company but then I like when they leave too because my life can go back to normal. haha I think I have remembered everyone. If not I am so sorry but my memory isn't what it use to be. Seems like it is getting worse. No one knows just what is wrong with it. Personally I am afraid of Alzheimers but the nurologist says that if I can tell a story it isn't. It seems to run in my family~my mom and my aunt. My grandfather and cousin has Parkinson's which is another form of dementia. Oh well, it is what it is.  I better get going. I send love and lots of big hugs to all. Prayers are going up for everyone. Special ones are being said for those who need them. Thank God He knows who needs them since I would forget.  lol

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
