Holiday World Update

Hey everyone.  I'm so sorry I've been gone so long.  Troy is in Detroit so I've been a single mom for a few days.  I honestly don't know how people do it....and I only have one child! Anyway, I heard from Lake Rudolph today and they said they can't offer a discount because it's their busiest season.  Seems to me that would be when you could do it but who am I?  Anyway, Dave did tell me that he only has a few spots left for June 26 and 27 so if you want to stay in the RV park, you need to contact them ASAP.  Their contact info is:  1-877-478-3657 or online at www.lakerudolph.com. Also, The Comfort Inn and Suites called me today to see if anyone was going to take advantage of the hotel rate.  I told Jaime I thought yes.  He said since Owensboro, Ky closed it's largest hotel yesterday (right across the river 9 miles away) he's getting a lot of reservations.  If you plan to use the hotel, please either call them at 812-649-2979 or contact me and I'll make the reservation for you.  If you call, tell them you are with the LEDC block through Jacqui Duncan.  He'd like to know how many rooms to reserve before the end of this week. I'm really looking forward to this.  I've heard the new stuff in the water park is great!  I can't wait to ride a roller coaster.....whooopiiiieeeee!!!!!!!!!! I am sooo excited!!! i called to make reservations today for Lake Rudolph..Terry wants to camp, so camp we are doing. I, myself wouldn't mind the deluxe Rv or Cabin....Our wallet will enjoy the luxurious tent accomadations....But thats ok we will be so exhausted we will crash out when we get back anyway! I think Tyler is bringing a friend so it will be 5! I am counting down the days. SHanna

I am still planning on bringing several friends along with me.  If anyone will be in town earlier than Friday morning, let me know......I have Wednesday and Thursday off as well, and would love to get together before the big bash on Friday!

Jacqui, We are kinda holding off to see what Dr. Gupta says when she calls. If we can still go, then we have to see how Gail is doing & which she thinks would be better physically for her...the RV or a room. We will hopefully be able to make a decision...and the reservation...by the weekend. Sherri                                      PS...During 'busy' season, who needs to give discounts to fill up the empty spaces? In the instance of Lake Rudolf, they know that if we don't stay there, others will. It's during the slow season that discounts are offered to lure people to come fill them up.

Hey...Bill went ahead and made our reservation last night. We figure that anything Dr. Gupta decides would probably take a little time to get corrected anyway. I already knew I wouldn't be able to do rides so no biggie. Bill made the reservation though at Santa's Lodge instead of the Comfort Inn. When he called that number (812-649-2979), they did say they had a block of rooms in Jacqui's name, but they said that their Comfort Inn was located 30-45 minutes away from Holiday World..that it was not the one that is just a few miles from it. I looked it up online and that number is for the one in Rockport..20 miles from Holiday World according to it's description. So...although it costs a little more, we'll be in Christmas land in June! LOL! I'll have my cell phone with me (number is in the directory) so if you're gonna be there Thursday too & want to get together for dinner with Bill, Gail, and I, call me! We'll be there from Thursday afternoon-Saturday morning. Sherri
