gallbladder surgery

My husband needs to have his gallbladder out but the drs arent wanting to do it because he has a very weak heart and they are afraid he wouldnt come out of the anethisia (sp) Does anyone know if there is an alternative to being put completely out when this surgery is done?

OMGoodness... He must be having some terrible problems...I am wondering if they could give him an epidural like when they removed my knee or like when a woman has a baby??? SURELY the Dr's can think of something... a gall bladder attack can not be good on the heart either!!!! Best of luck. Linda kay

I am thinking in the same terms of Linda. I have a weak heart too but they did put me out for my gall bladder, but for my kidney stone removal they did a epidural. I know that there is ways that they can go. Gall bladder attacks are plain h3ll on people.
