Having one of those moments where I can't remember what they said. Is Calcium Carbonate a good thing? Thanks for the help,  Angel

NO they say that it does not absorb enough to give the us the full effect of the calcium. They want us to take calcium citrate. Finding that in a chewable form is close to impossible in the price range I am willing to spend. I take calcium citrate tablets. I have to smash 3 for the morning and 3 for the evening in order to get my 1500 mg per day. I lose a little in the smashing process so I add the extra 1/2 tab for the counter!!! I get mine at Wal-Mart and for each 2 tablets it is 630 mg. I then take the smashed tablets and put them in 1-2 oz of a soft something (yogurt, applesauce, pudding) then eat it. I have read where the calcium needs to be taken when you eat or eat something with it in order for it to start the digestion process and then absorb.
